Site Configuration

The Site Configuration page allows you to adjust various settings related to your LMS integration with Percipio. The page includes several toggles that enable features for allowing learners to complete a course multiple times, as well as options for consumed content, and localized channels.

Settings and their Uses

The following settings are available:

• LMS Integration: This setting enables access to the System Integration section within the LMS. This setting is typically set by a Skillsoft admin.
  • Language equivalency selector: When your Skillsoft admin turns on LMS integration for you, you can also have them turn on the language equivalency selector. When language equivalency selector is turned on:
    • Learners are prompted to select their preferred language upon launch of any course with an established language equivalency in Percipio.
    • A completion for the course the learner completed is sent back to the LMS.
    • Admins in the LMS see one completion record for the course that the learner completed, no matter what language the learner launched the course in originally.
  • Language equivalency completion: When your Skillsoft admin turns on the language equivalency selector for you, you can also have them turn on the language equivalency completion. When language equivalency completion is turned on:
    • In addition to the completion a learner receives for the course they took, a second completion for the US English course is sent to the LMS.
    • If a learner completes a Skillsoft course in their preferred language, Percipio also sends a completion record to the LMS for the English course. .

      This allows admins to assign a Skillsoft US English course to any learner using their LMS. Regardless of the language a learner completes the course in, they receive a completion for the US English course.

    • Admins in the LMS see two completion records, one for the English course that they assigned and one for the course the learner completed.
• Allow learners to complete the same course multiple times: This toggle enables users to obtain a new completion on a course after it was previously completed. It only applies to course types and does not affect any other content types. To see which LMSs support multiple completions, see Multiple Completion Data with LMS Integrations. For learners to restart a course, they select the option to restart after they launch the course.
• Include consumed content rule set: This switch enables the LMS to include assets that were not previously included in the catalog. This is useful for clients who do not want to import all content items into their LMS, but want to ensure that if a user completes a content item accessed directly from Percipio and that was not included, that item will be included in the next push of content to the LMS.
• Include localized channels: Many Percipio channels are offered in multiple languages. When this switch is on, the LMS displays a drop-down menu for users to select the language they prefer within the channel view.
