Skillsoft Content in the LMS

Skillsoft content is available from our hosted servers for integration into LMS platforms using SCORM 1.2 standards.

Key features include:

• The LMS uses SCORM 1.2 PIF packages to load items generated by Skillsoft servers. If the LMS vendor supports it, this can be automated.
• Users experience seamless launching of the content from the LMS using the SCORM 1.2 standard
• The LMS receives tracking data from the content using the SCORM 1.2 standard

Skillsoft has several different types of content including courses, videos, exercises, additional resources, and tests.

In addition, optional content such as Book/Video content and Book/Video folders can generate metadata, and can launch seamlessly from the LMS, but will only fully track to Skillsoft. This type of content is referred to as passive content.

The Completion Criteria that indicates to the LMS when a course is complete varies based on the content type.
