SL_GetAttributes

This web service returns a variety of attributes that you can use as criteria in various search functions. The attributes returned are similar to how search results are scoped. The following list of attributes include:

• Language codes for all assets entitled to the specified user
• Asset types for all assets entitled to the specified user
• Asset types and their associated printable names used for display purposes
• Bin to asset type mappings entitled to the user

The service returns a list of bins with each bin specifying the mapped asset types. You can use the list of bins to determine which criteria to search for a given user with the SL_DetailedSearch function. This function supports the Simple-user-attributes option of the automatic-user-registration-or-update capability. For more information, see User Registration.

Note: If you are using OLSA with Privacy Support enabled, when invoking this web service, you must specify the login name of a user created using the UM_CreateUser web service, not the login name of a user created in SkillPort. This is because a hashed login name is required by this web service, and only OLSA (not SkillPort) creates this type of login name.

Inputs

• customerId - This refers to the sname provided by Skillsoft. String identifies the customer of OLSA environment.
• userName - Login name of the user.
• groupCode - This is the Organization code. It is optional and ignored if user already is registered.
• password - Optional. Ignored if user already is registered.
• languageCode - Optional. Two letter language code.

Outputs

• languages - Displays the language code and its label in English.
• assetTypeList - a list of asset type names
• dTypeList - a list of dType names
