OF_GetDownloadAssetUrl

This web service returns a launch URL that return client side logic that activates the download of the specified asset for offline play. This client side logic includes SCM detection logic, if the SCM is not installed then it will initiate a SCM installation sequence on the client. Note: If you are using OLSA with Privacy Support enabled, when invoking this web service, you must specify the login name of a user created using the UM_CreateUser web service, not the login name of a user created in SkillPort. This is because a hashed login name is required by this web service, and only OLSA (not SkillPort) creates this type of login name.

Inputs

• customerId - This refers to the sname provided by Skillsoft. String identifies the customer of OLSA environment.
• assetId - Unique identifier for asset within the database. Use the assettype and the nativeid for purposes of identifying and launching the asset.
• userName - Login name of the user.
• x508 - Identifies whether the asset to be downloaded and played offline will be played with Web Accessibility (Section 508) support. Specify 0 for no (false) or 1 for yes (true).

Outputs

• A URL that will download the specified asset with the specified user as its session context.
