Skillport 8 Patch 24 (8.0.3464) September 2014
Changes and Modifications
This release includes a change to the date format in Skillport Administrator (including Advanced Compliance features). Dates now display using the long form ISO-8601 format (YYYY-MMM-DD) to make the year, month and date more discernible.
There are areas in the Skillport 8 Administrator where the date format will not be updated:
- Reporting is not affected and continues to output in YYYY-MM-DD (all numeric) format.
- Batch inputs/outputs (e.g. Batch User Upload) are not affected.
- APIs including Skillsoft’s Batch Command Set (BCS) and Open Learning Services Architecture (OLSA) services are not affected.
Bug Fixes
Batch Add/Update
- The batch upload process now completes faster. (CR 166201)
- When attempting to update your own account's Group Membership using a Batch Add/Update file, an error message is no longer encountered. (CR 167540)
- When performing a password update, the batch file is processed and updates are made. (CR 169231)
- Attempting to import historical data no longer fails. (CR 169556)
Community
- When you attempt to moderate a community and have the correct permissions to do so, an error message no longer displays. (CR 169534, 169540)
Display
- When accessing Quick Links > Blogs, the Blogs page now provides an option to navigate back to Skillport. (CR 162462)
- The Quick Links drop-down displays differently in the English User Interface than the UK English User Interface. (CR 167840)
- When browsing the Library, students can now navigate back to the top level folder by clicking on the link from the left side menu. (CR 168240)
Instructor Led Training
- Within ILT notifications, attachments that contain accented e's and other special characters from Skillport 8.x with the file extension
.ics now open correctly in Lotus Notes. (CR 165617) - The number of scheduled Instructor Led Training sessions listed under Upcoming Events now matches the number listed under Instructor Led Training > Session Schedule. (CR 165786, 166190)
- Sometimes adding a new session to an ILT course displays the error:
Session ID must be unique . (CRs 166253, 167083) - ILT enrollment deadlines set to close one day before the session starts are now correctly applied to the last scheduled meeting. (CR 166784)
- The "Enrollment Status Change" email template no longer produces an error when launched in French. (CR 167580)
- Start times and end times displayed in the course Sessions tab now match those displayed in the ILT Learner report. (CR 167861)
- ILT sessions assigned to learners no longer take up to 48 hours to display. (CR 169141)
Learning Plan
- Editing a Learning Plan Assignment no longer produces the error:
The application has encountered an error . (CR 166032) - Learners enrolled in a Learning Program now display as such. (CR 167487)
- Users can now add notes to items when adding them to their learning plans. (CR 167533)
- Learners cannot enroll in a Learning Program which has already been completed. (CR 167812)
Learning Programs
- When viewing Learning Plan Assignments from Skillport Administrator and from the learner's Learning Plan, Learning Program assignments now display in the same order. (CR 166544)
- Learners are now able to enroll in a Learning Program. (CR 168963)
- Now when you attempt to locate a Learning Program by a Create or Modify Date, ascending or descending sort places them in the correct order. (CR 169443)
Library
- Published content now displays in the Library in a timely manner. (CR 167434)
- The status of a course now updates correctly at the location from which the course was launched. (CR 168663)
Notifications
- Existing users are now receiving reminder notification emails for Administrator-assigned courses. (CR 168569)
- Administrators with the Manager role no longer receive "Learning Plan Overdue Notice" emails for users that are outside of their assigned groups. (CR 166903)
Reporting
- Custom evaluations now display in the Evaluations filter drop down. (CR 165435)
- Users logging in via BCS SSO are no longer showing in reports as having logged in via Skillport. (CR 166137)
- A scheduled report no longer fails to run. (CR 166800)
- The Asset Filter in the Library Summary report no longer includes duplicate language settings in the Content Language setting. (CR 167380)
- Recipients no longer receive multiple report completion emails when scheduled reports run. (CR 167498)
- The User Learning Plan Detailed report is now displaying all expected users. (CR 167803)
- A specific user is no longer missing from the Users and Groups search feature. (CR 169114)
- Discrepancies in the High Score and Current Score values in the Asset Activity by User report and the User Learning Plan Detailed report have been resolved. (CR 169308)
- The User - My Plan report no longer reports incorrect completion statuses for users. (CR 169522)
- The User Learning Plan - Detailed report no longer reverses the values for High Score and Current Score. (CR 169905)
Search
- The search results page no longer caches results, and it now refreshes between searches. (CR 166236)
- Downloading an audio book from Search results no longer makes the page unresponsive. (CR 168242)
Users and Groups
- Users are now able to inherit catalog assignments. (CR 165882)
- Attempting to update three specific users' account information failed and produced the error:
Rating not found for the interest. (CR 167417)
