About Languages

You can change your site language and the language of the learning content presented to you while in Skillport. These options set the defaults for your site, and, once set, remain in the selected language until you change them again.

Site Language

The Site Language is the default language for all items on your Skillport pages including menu options, toolbars, labels, links, the help system, and informational text. Changing your site language does not change the language in which content such as courses, books and videos is presented.

When you change your site language, the change applies when you next sign in to Skillport, and remains in effect until you change it again.

Content Language

The Content Language is the default language for browsing and searching the library, and the language an asset is presented in when you launch it. Although you can only have one language at a time as the default content language, you may be entitled to content in other languages.

You can change your default content language at any time. When you change the content language, the Skillsoft Library and search results display all content to which you are entitled, in the selected language.

For more information, see Change the Default Content Language.

To search for learning content in another language, see Find Learning Content in Other Languages.
