Once you have obtained your CD Playable Courseware CD from Skillsoft, you will need to copy the entire contents of the CD to a folder on your local hard disk.
To Copy your CD Playable Courseware
Create a folder on your hard disk where you will store the files you copy from the CD Playable Courseware CD. In this example, we will use a folder called Skillsoft on the C: Drive (C:\SkillSoft).
Insert the CD into the CD-R drive on your PC. Using Windows Explorer, navigate to the drive where you have inserted the CD Playable Courseware.
In Windows Explorer, click on the Tools menu and select the Folder Options. This will open the Folder Options window.
In the Folder Options window, select the View tab. In the View tab, ensure the following settings are correct:
Show hidden files and folders is enabled
Hide protected operating system files (Recommended) is deselected
Click the OK button to close the Folder Options window.
From your CD-R drive in Windows Explorer, select all (CTRL-A) of the files shown on the CD Playable Courseware CD and Copy (CTRL-C) them to your Clipboard.
Choose the folder you created in step 1 above, and Paste the contents of your Clipboard to this folder. The contents of your CD Playable Course CD will be copied to the folder.
Locate and delete the course files for the course which came on the original CD (if your CD has a Skillsoft CCA course on it, these files will be in the Content\cca folder).
You are now ready to proceed to unzipping your custom course and adding it to the CD.
