Simdia are used to model conversations between one or more characters as they explore some point or concept relevant to the instruction. Simdias enable the content development team to use spoken examples and realistic dialog interactions, in the form of html flash video files, to expand upon new concepts.
Note: Simdia case studies are presented in wide width layout only. When creating the Sim Dialog Video Caption pages, a non-video, static image version must also be created which will play back if the user turns off the video play back, or when a user is in 508 play back mode.

Note: Modifying the text in dialog items (by either adding, removing, or editing the dialog text) will result in video files that no longer match the text on the page. You can either add your own video files to correct this, or use static images in place of video to ensure that the edited dialog text relates to the image or video on the page.
