Non-default player properties for Skillsoft AICC content

Skillsoft Course Player:

• Configure pageplayer.properties properties as follows.

  AICC_CORE_LESSON_FOR_RESULTS=true

  E3_AICC_OBJECTIVES_STATUS_FOR_RESULTS=false

  CCA_WRITE_AICC_OBJECTIVES_STATUS=false

  LMS_ERROR_DIALOG=false

SkillSim Player:

• Configure simpageplayer.properties properties as follows.

  AICC_CORE_LESSON_FOR_RESULTS=true

NLS Player:

• Configure SBPlayer.cfg file as follows

  EnableObjectiveTracking=0

LMS-specific notes for Skillsoft AICC content

AICC Content Importation:

• Import AICC Course Structure files via Plateau Admin

LMS Status:

• After launching a course Plateau indicates that the course has been accessed and

displays the number of times accessed and the total session time.

• After taking a course test, Plateau displays the score achieved.
• After achieving mastery, Plateau indicates that the course is finished and displays a completion time and date.

Error: 410 errors in Javalog and/or LMS Communication errors and possible loss of data.

• Plateau does not support AICC Objectives_Status
• Main symptoms related to non support of [Objectives Status] are errors in javalog. e.g.

  AiccPoster.sendAiccCMD(): Error: AICC Server request error: ERROR=410

  ERROR_TEXT=No match for the objective found in the system:J_ID.1

• There may also be pop-up LMS communication errors and sometimes loss of data.

  Workaround:Configure Player properties as recommended above so that AICC [Core Lesson] is used.

Error: Session times reported for KNet AICC content is greatly exaggerated in Plateau.

• Plateau appears to be accumulating all the session times posted by the player which are occurring at each change of course screen.
• The issue appears to be related to the 410 errors (see above) generated by the LMS with each PutParam because of non support for AICC [Objectives_Status]
• There is no known workaround at time of writing.
