Non-default player properties for Skillsoft SCORM content

LMS-specific notes for Skillsoft SCORM content

SCORM Content Importation:

• SCORM 1.2 PIF content imported to Cornerstone as SCORM.
  • Descriptive metadata is not parsed from the course imsmanifest.xml file. Course description is therefore not displayed on the LMS for the course unless course description is manually entered.

LMS Status:

• Prior to launching, Cornerstone displays a Module status of ‘Not Attempted’
• Once the course is started, Cornerstone displays a general Training Progress status of In-Progress and a Module Status of Incomplete until Mastery is achieved.
• Once a mastery score is achieved, Cornerstone displays a general Training progress status of Completed and a Module status of Completed with the exception of NLS where Cornerstone displays a module status of Passed.
• Course Mastery scores default to zero:
  • Upon import to Cornerstone, the Mastery score value for Skillsoft SCORM courses defaults to zero (0) because the LMS doesn’t detect a mastery score value in the imsmanifest.xml file.
  • The administrator can manually configure a mastery score for courses after the course import.

Cornerstone frameset launch:

• Courses are launched in a Cornerstone Frameset which enlarges to full screen size with the course presented in the top left corner.

  

Cornerstone does not support SCORM cmi.objectives:

• Because Cornerstone LMS does not support scorm.cmi.objectives, when using the default player properties an error occurs on attempting to launch CCA content.

  

  Workaround: In Pageplayer.properties set:

  CCA_WRITE_SCORM_CMI_OBJECTIVES=false

Cannot launch SkillSim SCORM content on Cornerstone LMS:

• SkillSim SCORM12 content hangs on attempting to launch in Cornerstone.

  Error: Exception in thread "Thread-153" java.lang.NullPointerException

  There is no known workaround at time of writing.

No Audio for NLS SCORM Content on Cornerstone:

• No sound is audible while playing NLS SCORM 12 content on Cornerstone.

  There is no known workaround at the time of writing.
