Skillsoft learning assets support communication via the Sharable Content Object Reference Model (SCORM) JavaScript API method with learning management systems (LMSs). The assets support the two major versions: v1.2 and v2004.
The SCORM method uses JavaScript as the communication channel between the assets and the LMS.
Due to the security architecture of JavaScript in web browsers to prevent cross site scripting, the LMS and content players are unable to communicate with one another if they reside on different domains - therefore, content will not launch or track. This is sometimes referred to as the "Same Origin Policy".
