Course Eval Builder Tab
Use this tab to:
- Generate course evaluations with questions you create, and then link or unlink those evaluations to content installed from the Content Installer tab.
- Delete linked evaluations from the available list in the Course Eval tab.
Users assigned with Super-Admin, Company-Admin, Admin and Manager level privileges may run reports on assigned course evaluations from the Admin Reports feature. The Course Evaluation report can display course evaluation results in HTML, CSV (comma separated values) and CSV UTF-16 text format. This report displays the same user information as the Custom Report, as well as the evaluation questions and user-entered answer fields. If no course evaluations have been completed, the following message will be displayed: No Course Evaluations exist that satisfy the request.

 Generate an evaluation
- Click the Course Eval Builder tab.
- Click Generate Evaluations. Enter a title for the evaluation and select a language from the drop-down list.
- Single quotes and apostrophes ( ' ) are allowed in evaluation titles.
- The back slash character ( \ ) is not allowed.
- Click Next to view the question form, and then select the question type (Yes/No, Likert Scale, Drop Down, or Text Entry) from the drop-down list. The fields in which you enter question information varies depending on which type you select from the drop-down list.
- Quotes and carriage returns are allowed in course evaluation questions.
- The back slash ( \ ) and percentage ( % ) characters are not allowed.
- Max question length is 256 characters.
- Complete the form, and then click Submit Question. You see the confirmation message that the question was added to the evaluation. Or, click Clear Question to remove the question from the evaluation.
- Select another question type from the drop-down list to create a new question, and then repeat step 4 above.
- When you are finished adding questions to the evaluation, click Next to edit, delete, or change the order your questions appear in the evaluation.
- Click Generate Form.
Link or unlink evaluations
- Click the Course Eval Builder tab to refresh the screen.
- Click Link/Unlink Evaluations.
- Select a course from the Course List. Click Show Links to see the Evaluation Assignment, if any exists, display to the right.
- To select a range: press and hold down the SHIFT key, and then click the first and last item in the list.
- To select multiple items: press and hold down the CTRL key, and then click individual items in the list.
- Select an evaluation from the Evaluation Form. You see the Course Assignment, if any exists, display to the right.
Note: A course evaluation will no longer appear if a course that it was linked to was uninstalled from the Content Installer tab.
- Click Create Link.
- Select another course or set of courses, and then repeat steps 4 and 5 above.
- When you are finished linking courses to evaluations, click Done. You return to the Course Evaluation Generator screen.
- Assign the course(s) with an attached course evaluation to users' My Plan using the My Plan Assigner tab.
The specified course evaluation then appears in the Summary page for the associated course and the user's My Plan upon their completion of the course.
Note: Content that cannot be completed (e.g. Express Guides) do not place course evals in a user's My Plan. However, the course eval link does appear in the course summary page if the enableondemandcourseeval parameter has been enabled in the company database.
Delete linked evaluations
- Click the Course Eval Builder tab to refresh the screen.
- Click Edit Evaluations.
- Select one or more evaluation from the Evaluation Form List.
- Click Delete Evaluation.
You no longer see the evaluation listed and any courses previously attached have been detached from this evaluation.
