AI Updates
The items in this section highlight changes to AI elements in Percipio so you can stay in compliance with your internal processes.
We will soon be updating our AI models for Percipio Codecademy. Learners are not likely to notice any changes when interacting with any Codecademy features.
This update is part of our commitment to staying current with the latest advancements in AI technology, ensuring that we continue to provide you with the best possible security and user experience. If you require additional information, please reach out to your Skillsoft account team.
Engaging your learners to build a learning culture
The items in this section provide ways to engage your users so they want to learn and make learning a habit.
With this release, unless you turned it off, the Manager dashboard will display for all users who have:
- A Percipio user role of manager
- Been identified as a Direct Manager for a user using the system attribute Direct Manager
- Been assigned as an audience owner
The Manager dashboard allows managers to see which of their employees are overdue on assignments, which assignments are at risk of not being completed on time, how many of their learners are engaged in learning activities, who has signed up for live learning, and how they are doing compared with other managers in the company.
The setting is on by default. You can customize which widgets display to managers. To customize the Manager Dashboard, navigate to Site Settings > Dashboard > Manager Dashboard.
In this release, unless you turned it off, learners and managers can start earning experience points (XP). Learners will be able to earn XP for completing content, while managers will be able to earn XP by creating assignments and engaging team members.
Earning XP for learning and related tasks can make the process addictive, measurable, and rewarding. Users can see how many XP each activity is worth and track their progress from both their mobile and desktop devices as they accumulate points and level up. If you have leaderboards enabled, users see an XP leaderboard view showing how they rank compared to peers, adding a sense of competition. Users can see XP progress from:
- My Achievements (desktop and mobile)
- XP Tracker (desktop only)
- Leaderboard (desktop and mobile)
All XP is on by default. You can tailor the XP experience for your organizational culture to enhance learner engagement and motivation. To customize the XP settings, navigate to Site Settings > Engagement > XP (Experience Points).
With this update, the Monthly learning digest emails now shows XP progress if enabled on your site. This provides a more comprehensive view of learner achievements and encourages ongoing engagement.
- If XP and Org leaderboard are enabled, the email shows XP-based rank instead of completion-based rank, along with total XP earned instead of total completions.
- If XP is enabled but Org leaderboard is disabled, the email displays an XP-based percentile rank instead.
Usability
The items in this section show where we are making improvements to the interface for a better experience.
With the new Emails and Notifications page, you now have a centralized hub to manage all email and push notification settings. This update introduces a new menu item in the left navigation, making it simpler to find and configure your communication settings.
All relevant settings previously located under Site Settings > Engagement & Notifications and Learning > Email Campaigns are now consolidated under Emails and Notifications directly in the left navigation. This means you can manage ad hoc custom email campaigns and other communication settings more efficiently, saving you time and ensuring consistency in your messaging.
With this update, users can now log into the mobile app using their email address as an alternative to entering a site name. After a user enters their email address, they receive an email with a one-time login link, which automatically logs them into the app. Additionally, the entire login flow has been refreshed with a cleaner, more intuitive user experience, making it easier for learners to access Percipio with fewer steps and less friction.
For more details, please see Sign in to the Mobile App.
Now when a learner completes all assignments, they still see the Assignments menu option in the left navigation so they can easily review completed assignments. Previously, if a learner completed all assignments, the Assignments menu option would not display. If a learner has never received an assignment, they do not see the Assignment option in the left navigation.
