Note: Ensure you are not running any other recording applications while using the Dialogue Recorder.
To start recording a session
If necessary, right-click on the Dialogue Recorder icon in the Taskbar and select Recording Options from the menu.
In the Set User Preferences dialog box, select the desired recording options.
To start recording, do one of the following:
Double-click on the Dialogue Recorder icon in the Taskbar.
Right-click on the Dialogue Recorder icon in the Taskbar and select Start/Stop Recording from the menu.
Press CTRL+SHIFT+PRINT SCREEN.
Note: The hot key functionality is not available in Windows 98 and Windows Me.
The Recorder - Select Window for Capture dialog box appears.
Select one of the following options:
Capture Application - If you select this option, a list of open applications will be displayed. Select the application to capture from the displayed list. Also specify whether to capture only the content area or whether to capture the entire application interface by selecting or de-selecting the Capture Content Area Only check box.
Capture Desktop - If you select this option, any content that is on the desktop will be captured. This is the default option.
Custom Area - If you select this option, a particular area of the Desktop or application will be captured.
Click OK.
If you selected Custom Area, use the selection box that appears to specify the capture area. Resize this selection box to cover the area that you want to capture.
Click Start.
The Dialogue Recorder starts recording. A red button displays in the Taskbar to indicate that recording is in progress.
If necessary, you can pause and restart the recording at any time by selecting Pause / Restart from the right-click menu.
To stop recording, do one of the following:
Double-click on the Dialogue Recorder icon in the Taskbar.
Right-click on the Dialogue Recorder icon and select Start/Stop Recording from the menu.
