Get Started

To create a new site:

  1. Sign in with your domain administrator account.
  2. From Sites in the left navigation bar, select Create new site the Create new site page displays.
  3. Follow the steps on screen. At the end of each step, you can Cancel without saving changes or move onto the Next step.
  4. After you create your site, you have to set it up for use. You can either set it up independently from the parent or push settings to the child site. When you push settings from the parent, the site admins on the child site cannot change them. A few key settings to note when setting up your child site:

In addition to the above, child sites support all functions that are available for the parent site. This includes assignments, learning programs, custom content, reporting, user management, audience management, etc.

Site creation details

When you create a child site, the platform walks you through a three-step workflow:

  1. Provide site details: In this step, you specify the hierarchy structure, the site name and URL along with the site administrator.
  2. Allocate licenses: Select how many licenses from each license pool to designate to this site.
  3. Review and create site: Ensure all information is correct and create your new site.
Note: After you allocate licenses to child sites, you need to create audiences and then associate those audiences with the allocated license pools in the child sites so learners can see content.
  4. After you create your child site, you must configure it with users, branding, settings, and content.

In addition to the above, child sites support all functions that are available for the parent site. This includes assignments, learning programs, custom content, reporting, user management, audience management, etc.
