Get Started with AI Coach

AI Coach is designed to give you real time, personalized recommendations to help you reach all of your professional aspirations through real behavioral changes. AI Coach guides you in setting goals and reflecting on your current state so you can continue growing and improving your skills. Because AI Coach is aware of your unique skill data, role, and aspirational career goals within the Skillsoft platform, ituses that context to make coaching more relevant. In addition to having a conversation, it surfaces targeted Percipio courses, AI conversation simulation (CAISY®) practice scenarios, and other resources based on your specific coaching goals and development challengesIt’s a dedicated coaching environment, distinct from learning content, that bridges skill development and on-the-job application. Skillsoft's AI Coach is aligned with all International Coaching Federation Core Competencies, ensuring a professional coaching experience that works for you. To access AI Coach, from your Skillsoft Percipio Platform, select the nine-dot menu A sqare composed of three dots across and three dots down for a total of 9 dots all equally spaced., then AI Coaching. If you received an email prompting you to get started with AI Coach, you can access the platform from the link provided in that email.

When you first access AI Coach, there are a series of onboarding steps you must complete before you can begin your coaching. These include:

Once you complete the onboarding steps, you land on the Home page. Here, you can:

  • Request colleague feedback
  • Set your first goal
  • Answer questions to help your AI Coach get to know you

Onboarding questions

Onboarding questions are designed to help your AI Coach get to know you and your career goals. For each short answer question, you can type, or select the microphone icon and dictate your response. The questions in this step are:

  • What is your job role?: If you have already specified a job role in the Skillsoft Platform, this field automatically populates with that role.
  • What are the key responsibilities of your current role?
  • What are your professional growth and career aspirations?
  • What motivates or energizes you at work?

Once you are satisfied with your answers, select Next.

Self Assessment

The Self Assessment if a way for you to gauge and track your strengths in the workplace and in your role. It consists of six questions including ratings, multiple choice, and open-ended questions. You take the self assessment once a year in order to track how your skills have developed as a product of using AI Coach.

Once you have answered all questions, select Save & continue.
