Expanding skills of your workforce
The items in this section provide ways to grow your talent and fill critical skill gaps, building mastery with confidence.
Role and skill ratings empower learners to tailor their learning experience. When learners specify a role, they can now see a list of skills associated to their role and can rate each skill to better understand the learning they need do to improve in their role. They can also define and rate other skills they want to improve.
The Display Role advisor and Skill profile to learners setting under Site Configuration > Site features enables the feature. This setting is on by default. When this setting is enabled, learners can select and rate skills and see their
As part of this feature release, the Role page is now the new Role and Skill Ratingspage. The Skills page is now the Skills Interests page where learners can still choose skill interests that they want to learn more about that may not be related to their job roles.
If you have any one of the Expert collections or the Skillsoft Leadership Development Program, and you have made CAISY AI Simulations available to learners, they now see a CAISY promotion banner in their weekly recommendation and re-engagement emails. Clicking the banner takes the learner to the Practice with CAISY Simulations landing page in Percipio.

Engaging your learners to build a learning culture
The items in this section provide ways to engage your users so they want to learn and make learning a habit.
To enable collaborative learning for custom content, learners can now create and share a learn together invitation for custom content, just as they can with Skillsoft content. Learn Together is now available for all types of custom content except for live courses.
To make it easier to send an invitation, learners can also now access and create a Learn Together experience directly from the Actions option on a content card.
The Learn Together setting under Engagement & Notifications > Social Learning enables the feature. This setting is on by default.
Learners can now capture key learning points while reading a book or book summary by adding notes and highlights. Learners can view their notes on a new Notes tab when in the book or book summary and also be able to view them on the Notes and Reflections page.
The setting for this feature is on by default. You can locate the setting from Site features, Allow learners to take notes and make highlights in books.
Please note that the notes and highlighting feature in books and book summaries currently does not conform to accessibility standards for keyboard navigation and screen readers. This may affect the experience for some learners, so you can disable this feature if needed. We are working to resolve these concerns.
Manage, promote, and measure learning
The items in this section provide the tools you need to manage users and content, promote learning, and measure learning effectiveness on your bottom line.
When you create a channel, you can now search for and add content in any language to your channel regardless of the channel's selected language. For example, if you are creating an English UK channel, learners in the UK using that site language see the channel. You can now search for and add English US content to the UK channel so the UK users have a similar experience to your English US learners. Likewise, you can add an English US course to a Spanish language channel and allow the learners to use translated closed captions to view the English US course with translated subtitles.
You can now create up to 5 class attributes that admins can use to help organize and categorize information about all your classes. Each class attribute is an open text field where an admin specifies a value when they create or edit a class. Class attributes do not display to learners. For example, if you want to want track costs incurred against each class, you can add a Cost attribute that will display as a field when admins create or edit a class so that cost values can be associated with the class.
On the Live Course list page you can select the class attributes from Columns to display them in the list. You can now also download the Live Course list to a CSV file.
Usability Enhancements
The items in this section show where we are making improvements to the interface for a better experience.
Learners can now:
-
see the earliest class under a course in the selected week or month view of the calendar without having to go into a course.
-
choose to browse in monthly or weekly view in live course calendar page. Selecting monthly view displays all the records that fall in the selected month at once.
Learners see the date they created a reflection in a course. If they choose to edit a previously added reflection, the created date is updated to the edited date in the course.
Cards are now collapsed by default on all pages, presenting a cleaner and uncluttered enhanced user experience. When learners hover over the cards, they can view details including the icons for Share, Star Ratings, Bookmark, and the Actions menu.
The pages where this feature is now available include:
- Skill benchmarks result page
- Collections landing pages
- Role Advisor
- Skillsoft and custom Journeys under related content (Optional Resources)
