New Features and Enhancements as of September 23, 2025
Manage, promote, and measure learning
The items in this section provide the tools you need to manage users and content, promote learning, and measure learning effectiveness on your bottom line.

Two enhancements for dynamic content are coming soon:
- Require starting courses from the beginning: Admins can require learners to restart all courses from the beginning when learners start dynamic content either stand alone or through a recurring assignment. This will be enabled by default for all new dynamic content. If you created or copied dynamic content prior to this setting being available, you will need to edit your dynamic content and select the setting, then republish to enable this feature.
- Dynamic content will soon support multiple completions in assignments: Dynamic content will soon support recurrence and multiple completions from within an assignment. When a learner is required to retrain, they will be prompted to restart the dynamic content, answer the profiler, and then complete the appropriate courses from the beginning.
For more details, see Create Dynamic Content.

With this release, you can now tag custom content with skills from Skillsoft’s skill dictionary, helping learners identify and develop the competencies that are most relevant to their role and your organization. By utilizing skill tagging, learners can more easily find your custom content that supports their professional growth and skills development.

To avoid confusion and streamline tasks for users with a role of learning admin or manager, they no longer see the User Attribute option from the left navigation. They will continue to be able to view user attributes when creating and managing audiences based on user attributes and edit the value of a user’s attributes if needed. Only users with a role based on site admin, can manage user attributes.
For more details, please see Permissions by role.

Previously, only site admins could view and edit all learning programs on your Percipio site; other admin roles with learning program permissions could only view and edit learning programs they created. With this release, creators of learning programs can provide access to others who have learning program permissions but who are not site admins. These individuals would then be able to view and edit that learning program created by someone else. This new Manage access feature allows for collaboration across teams and functions when putting together and keeping learning programs updated for ever-changing business requirements.
Expanding skills of your workforce
The items in this section provide ways to grow your talent and fill critical skill gaps, building mastery with confidence.

Previously, we announced two new admin settings that are on by default:
- Journey progress and completion emails: Control whether learners receive journey reminder and congratulatory emails.
- Certification status and expiration emails: Control three types of emails sent when learners engage with a certification path:
- Reminder emails if the learner is inactive
- Congratulatory emails to both the learner and their manager when the learner completes the certification path and uploads their certificate.
- Renewal emails when it is time for a learner to renew their certification.
With this release, if you kept these settings on, learners will start getting journey and certification path email reminders to help keep them engaged and on track.
This release also finds two new settings for learners that allow them to opt out of receiving these reminder emails. From My Settings > Notifications, learners see the options:
- Journey reminders and notifications
- Certification reminders and notifications
The learner settings are visible only when the corresponding admin-level settings are turned on.

To facilitate learners being able to find relevant content more quickly, when they are entitled to less than three content areas, they will soon see the area’s associated subjects on the main library page instead of the areas first. This will provide learners with one less click to get to relevant content, streamlining content access.

When learners visit a journey landing page, they now see a prompt if they consumed content, but did not start the journey. This prompt gives them the option to start the journey and update their progress. If a learner chooses to start the journey, the journey shows in recent activity and their Activity page for easy access, and the journey status and progress indicators update. If learners opt not to start the journey, it remains hidden from their Activity page and no journey progress is recorded.
Admins can view metrics on learners who opt to start their journey, providing insights into engagement levels. This new feature ensures learners have a seamless experience and encourages active participation in their learning journey.

When learners view the Skill Benchmark page, they see a toggle that allows them to filter their list of skill benchmarks to only those that apply to the skill interests they selected. If learners have not selected any skill interests, they will see all available skill benchmarks by default. This feature empowers learners to focus on the skills most relevant to them, fostering a more engaging and effective learning experience.
Compliance, Ecosystems, and Integrations
The items in this section help you to integrate Percipio across your learning ecosystem and promote how Skillsoft works with its partners.

To enhance your ability to manage compliance content effectively, you now have the option to control whether learners must listen to all the audio within interactive content before progressing further in the course. This empowers you to set compliance standards for audio interactions, ensuring learners fully engage with the material before moving forward.
With this update, you will find a checkbox: Require learners to listen to all audio within Interactive content in the completion criteria settings for compliance content. By using this feature, you can ensure that learners engage fully with the audio content as part of their learning journey. This setting is off by default.
Usability Enhancements
The items in this section show where we are making improvements to the interface for a better experience.

When learners engage with the AI Assistant and view their chat history, they now see previous chats listed by last access date and time with a categorizing tag so they know where in the platform they had the conversation. Learners can launch AI Assistant from Role Advisor, a course, or from the left or top navigation. This ensures clarity and organization when referencing their history.

There was some confusion on what happened when learners restarted a course. There are at least two situations when a restart is initiated:
- Admin makes an assignment and requires learners to restart a course they previously started or completed.
- A learner restarts a course on their own to get updated completion records
Now, when learners restart a course, they receive clear messaging indicating that a new record is created while previous progress is retained for reporting records.

To help learners avoid confusion about what happens if they attempt to switch scenarios or change the language after launching a CAISY, they now receive an in-app notification indicating that they will lose progress if they continue.
