Content Integration

Compliance Note: To deploy Skillsoft Compliance 1.0 content, see Managing and Deploying Compliance 1.0 content in your LMS/LXP, otherwise you can integrate Compliance Suite content like you do other Skillsoft content.

If you have another LMS or system where you want users to find content, use this Content Integration approach.

To get started integrating Skillsoft content:

  1. Test the Skillsoft content in your LMS. See Testing content in your LMS for detailed instructions and links to test packages.
  2. Create a set of rules where you choose the relevant content for your catalog.
  3. After you build your custom Content rule set, download the AICC package and supplemental metadata.
  4. Install the AICC package and supplemental metadata to your system.
  5. On a regular basis, query recently added or retired content contained in your rule set. Uninstall retired content. Install recently added content.
Note: Some systems that only support AICC files are smaller and may not be able to support a large AICC file as would get generated by a full content export. Check your system's guidelines for importing AICC files. AICC files only support courses, books, and audiobooks.
