Select Books / Videos

The Download Asset Metadata >> Select Books / Videos page available from the Select Books / Videos menu option, allows you to add books and videos from your Browse Views to your future asset metadata downloads.

All folders containing content to which your organization is entitled (courseware, books, videos) display in the list. When you select or deselect a folder, it's subfolders are also selected or deselected. When you select a parent folder, all subfolders are also selected. You can individually select subfolders, if preferred.

Note: If no folders are selected on this page, book or video metadata is not included in any asset metadata download.

If your Skillport administrator has designated an 'olsa_scoping_user', this will not affect which folders display. The folders displayed in this page are always unscoped. However, if your Skillport administrator has designated an ‘olsa_scoping_user’, the book and video metadata that downloads will be limited to that user’s entitled content. If you do not see the results you expected in your downloaded metadata, see your Skillport administrator for information about the 'olsa_scoping_user' parameter.

When you use the All Metadata or Updated Metadata download options available on the Download Asset Metadata page (accessible from the Download menu option), metadata for all books and videos contained in selected folders is included in the download.

Additionally, if your metadata is downloaded automatically, the book and video metadata will be included in future All Metadata asset feeds, and new book and video metadata will be included in the next Updated Metadata feed.

You can also use the Download Asset Metadata >> Select Books / Videos page to remove books and videos from manually generated downloads and from future All or Update metadata downloads by deselecting folders.
