Skillport 8 Patch 21 (8.0.3329) June 2014

Changes and Enhancements:

Skillport and Windows 8   

  • Skillport 8 now includes support for Windows 8 PCs and tablets. This includes support for Internet Explorer version 11 as well.

    Note: We do not offer support for Windows 8 Phones at this time. 

Bug Fixes:

Batch Add/Update

  • The Username field no longer displays as optional when it should be required, and Group Membership no longer states Field is required. Must be a valid Group name when it should be asking for an org code. (CR 162148)
  • You can now add/remove Catalog Assignment privileges from a Skillport account using the new custom privileges feature. (CR 163318)
  • The batch import process no longer fails intermittently. (CR 165024)
  • The batch import process no longer fails when multiple orgcodes are included for a user record. (CRs 165670, 165548)
  • You can now add new users and update existing users simultaneously. (CR 166297)
  • Deactivated users are no longer inadvertently reactivated during add/batch uploads. (CR 166372)

Books/Course/Videos

  • Courses can be added to the Learning Plan if the course is not marked as hidden. (CR 166570)
  • Courses no longer launch without scroll bars on an iPad tablet. (CR 166106)
  • Courses are now correctly showing a status of complete. (CR 165662)
  • Learners can now launch courses without the launch failing. (CR 165789)
  • Searching for a book by the specific Code Listing now successfully returns the book. (CR 163448)
  • The Live Events link now displays correctly. (CR 165604)
  • Eliminating a duplicate mountpoint prevents courses from displaying more than once in the Browse view. (CR 163756)

Browsers

  • Internet Explorer 11 users no longer receive a Javascript alert detecting the browser version. (CR 162458)

Configuration

  • Attempting to configure the Player Settings-RO Mode or SkillSim Settings-RO Mode no longer generates the following error: Error! An error occurred while updating Player settings. (CR 165438)

Display

  • The Welcome Message tab on the Administrator > Display > What's New page no longer displays incorrect information. (CR 164803)
  • Characters no longer display incorrectly on the inGenius/Community Profile page. (CR 166061)
  • The What's New graphic now displays correctly. (CR 165344)
  • Learners can now see the Java security prompt even when hovering over buttons or links in the player window. (CR 165957)
  • What's New assets are no longer disappearing. (CR 165900, 166251)
  • Updating a profile no longer displays an error. (CR 164610)
  • A customized Welcome Message no longer reverts to the default Skillport message. (CRs 164447, 164910, 165891)
  • The To Do List no longer displays completed courses. (CRs 159461, 166633)

Instructor Led Training (ILT)

  • Learners can now place themselves on the waitlist for a full, open enrollment session. (CR 164223)
  • When the learner clicks Instructor Led Training under Upcoming Events, the number of events that display is now consistent with the number of events listed in Displaying [n] - [n] items of [n]. (CR 164653)
  • Enrollment Status Change Notification emails no longer contain unreadable text. (CR 165549)
  • Learners can now see all enrolled sessions from within the course. (CR 165783)
  • Administrators can now enroll learners into ILT sessions. (CR 166429)

Learner Transcripts

  • The Change link on the Learning Transcript page now displays correctly. (CR 164450)
  • For completed courses, completion is now indicated in the Learning Plan, as well as the learner's transcript. (CR 163788)
  • Courses no longer show as completed within the course, but not within the learner's Transcripts. (CR 164616)
  • Required courses where completion criteria has been met are now showing as completed. (CRs 164662, 165394)
  • Completed courses for some users no longer show as complete within the course, but as in progress within the learners' Transcripts. (CR 165703)
  • Completed custom courses no longer show as incomplete in the learner's Transcripts. (CR 165955)
  • Administrators no longer receive an error when attempting to view CPE or PDU transcripts. (CR 163780, 167436, 166306)

Learning Plan

  • Editing a Learning Plan Assignment no longer produces the error: The application has encountered an error. (CR 165000)
  • When updating a Managed Set, the Update Set button now works in Firefox or Internet Explorer 10+ browsers. (CR 164928)

Learning Programs

  • Learning Programs no longer display as Completed, when learners have not completed the required content. (CR 162654)

Library

  • Courses no longer display misaligned. (CR 166130)
  • Featured Topics now display correctly in the Featured Topics drop down. (CR 165898)
  • The Search language can now be set to other than English (United States) and courses and folders will display correctly in the Browse view. (CRs 165681, 165598)
  • The learner's view now matches the Administrator's Series view. (CR 164162)
  • Updates to the Catalog now display in the Browse view. (CRs 163915, 158089)
  • The ordering of assets within the end-user Browse View properly reflects the ordering of folders as configured within Skillport Administrator. (CR 162579).
  • Users can now create subfolders within other subfolders in their libraries. (CR 161261)

OLSA

  • The UD_GetAssetResultsExtended command response now matches the definition in the OLSA.WSDL file. (CRd 166100, 165164)

Reporting

  • The Development Plan report now shows activity on content that was accessed by new learners. (CR 162090)
  • The Learning Plan Detailed by User report no longer returns incorrect information about learners who have been granted a waiver. (CR 162573)
  • The comma character, when placed in a Facility's information (such as a Classroom location), no longer causes the columns of the Learner Report to misalign with their headers. (CR 163204)
  • The Managed Import Folder now displays in Reporting. (CRs 163593, 148906)
  • When running the Learning Activity Asset Activity by User report, you can now filter by one user and one asset. (CRs 164299, 164809)
  • Links to scheduled reports sent in email notifications no longer stop working shortly after the email is received. (CR 164841)
  • Attempting to edit a shared report template no longer produces an error. (CR 165541)
  • Learners added with the batch/add process are now showing in the User Listing Detailed by User report. (CR 166140)

Self Registration

  • First Name, Last Name and Email now have input fields on the Self Registration page. (CR 164601)

Users and Groups

  • Creating a new user no longer results in the error Mapping is not available for this action. (CR 164946)
  • If inGenius is enabled, the Main page for an advanced group now displays. (CR 165345)
