Download an Asset

Depending on the configuration of your site, you may be able to download books, chapters of books, companion files for books, videos, and courses. You can download assets from Skillport Learner and from within the viewers.

See Content You Can Download for a list of content types eligible for download.

To download an asset from Skillport Learner

  1. Search or browse to locate an asset that you want to download.

    You can also download an asset from your Learning Plan.

  2. For each asset you want to download, click the down arrow next to Launch and click Download.

    If viewing from your learning plan, click Details, then click the down arrow next to Launch and click Download

    When downloading a course, you are prompted to install the SkillSoft Course Manager if you have not already done so.

    A Download dialog displays asking you to choose to open or save the file.

    When downloading a video, you are prompted to save the video by selecting a file format and choosing whether to download companion files, if any.

    If your entitlements allow, you may also be able to download book chapters and sections. See Chapters To Go for details.

  3. Select the desired options and click OK.
  4. Click OK to initiate the download.

    The content downloads to your local machine in the selected format.

To download an asset from within the viewer

  1. Click Download Icon Download from the top toolbar.

    The Download dialog box displays.

  2. Choose a file format for download:
    • Adobe PDF
    • Kindle-ready mobi
    • ePUB

    3. A Chapters To Go meter displays your remaining chapters available for download. 15 chapter downloads are allowed every 90 days and refresh automatically.
