View Menu

The View Menu contains the following commands:

• Expand Tree - Expands the course tree from the highlighted component.
• Collapse All - Collapses the course tree from the highlighted component.
• Preview - Previews the entire course in the Skillsoft Course Player.
  • HTML 5

    Desktop – This option is only enabled for HTML5-Ready, Tablet-Ready, or Phone-Ready courses.

    Desktop-Accessible – Previews the course in 508 mode. This option is only enabled for courses for which the 508 Compliant checkbox on the course General Information tab has been selected.

    Tablet – This option is only enabled for Tablet-Ready or Phone-Ready courses.

    Phone – Previews the course in a browser window opened to dimensions resembling a phone width and height. Options include Portrait Orientation and Landscape Orientation. This preview is not an actual simulation of a mobile phone.

  • Java-Dependent – Previews the course in the Skillsoft Course Player (Legacy).
• Quick Preview - Previews the selected element in the Skillsoft Course Player.
  • HTML 5

    Desktop – This option is only enabled for HTML5-Ready, Tablet-Ready, or Phone-Ready courses.

    Desktop-Accessible – Previews the course in 508 mode. This option is only enabled for courses for which the 508 Compliant checkbox on the course General Information tab has been selected.

• Alt Text Review - Opens a new window for you to review just the Alt Text of the course.
• Course Transcript - Generates a copy of the entire course in transcript form in a browser window.
• Topic Transcript - Generates a copy of a topic in transcript form in a browser window.
• Toolbars - Show or hide the following toolbars:
  • Standard (Open, Save, Cut, Copy, Paste, Undo, Redo, Zip, Unzip)
  • Formatting (Italics, Underline, Bold, Courier, Font Size, Font Color)
  • Tools (Quick Preview, Hyperlink, Reports, Find and Replace, Spell Check, Duration Word Count, Audio Pick Up List, Audit)
  • Add (Templates)
  • WYSIWYG (Toggle Preview Mode, Reset Page, Previous Buildable, Toggle Captions, Next Buildable)
  • Sigma (Insert n-ary summation operator, Insert Greek lowercase sigma, Insert Greek lowercase alpha, Insert Greek lowercase beta, Insert square root symbol, Insert En-dash)
• Show Window - Show or hide the Graphic Direction or Timeline window on the Graphics tab.
