Objective IDs

While objectives are numbered according to their own syntax, their addition is still noted and tallied when adding additional components. Each item added after a topic will take into account the previous topic ID's terminal objectives and enabling objectives. Objectives automatically renumber according to their position in the tree.

Terminal Objectives

The ID for terminal objectives is TObj followed by an objective number. When a topic is added, a Terminal Objective is automatically added to the topic. Terminal objective numbers always start with 1 and increase sequentially within the topic; therefore, it is possible to have multiple TObj1 IDs in a course.

Enabling Objectives

The ID for enabling objectives is TObj-EO (Topic Object - Enabling Objective) followed by an objective number. Enabling objective numbers always start with 1 and increase sequentially within the topic; therefore, it is possible to have multiple TObj-EO1 IDs in a course.

Example

In the following example, items were entered in this order:

  1. Lesson One
  2. Lesson Two
  3. Lesson Three
  4. Topic One in Lesson One
  5. Topic One Objectives
  6. Topic Two in Lesson One
  7. Topic Two Objectives

Note: Because of this system of assigning unique IDs, topics are never assigned sequential numbers, so there is never a T1, T2, T3... in any lesson.
