The Audio file button is a placeholder for audio files that are created by an audio technician or audio house. Audio file names are automatically generated. Clicking the Audio file button () opens the Audio dialog box.
Audio file text field - System-generated audio file names are prefixed with the the topic ID of each file (for example, in the above graphic, t16 represents the sixteenth topic) and a unique sequential number.
- Plays the audio file.
- Stops the audio file.
Audio Production Notes - Notes to audio production; for example, the tone, inflection, or pronunciation of a word ("XML is said as X, M, L").
Character drop-down menu - List of characters, as defined in the Character tab. Use this to assign a character to the audio file.
Cancel - Cancels any changes to the audio file.
Close - Closes the dialog box.
Browse - Search for a Legacy or .wav audio file by browsing to its location.
Browse (8 bit) - Search for a Speex or .wav audio file with an output of 8 bits.
Browse (16 bit) - Search for a Speex or .wav audio file with an output of 16 bits.
