Instance Management

This sets the course completion criteria only. You cannot change the completion criteria for any other asset types (such as videos, audiobooks, books, etc.).

• Minimum assessment score: Select this option to require learners only to pass the course test with a minimum % score.
  • This minimum score applies universally for all courses.
  • The default score is 70%, but you can customize the value from 50% to 100%.
  • The minimum score is shown to learners on the course page, as part of the course completion criteria.
• Authorize course completion by viewing all videos: Select this option to require learners to watch all videos within a course for course completion.
  • If selected, a learner can complete the course by achieving the minimum score or by viewing all videos.

  • An individual video is considered complete when a learner views at least 50% of the content.

Important information about course completions

• If a course has no assessment (test), the completion by viewing all videos criteria is used by default. This is true whether or not you have selected the option.
• If a course has an assessment (test), if the learner passes the test by achieving the minimum % score, the learner does not have to view all videos for the course to be marked as complete.
• Test scores are calculated by totaling the number of correct and partially correct answers and dividing by the total number of questions. Single response questions are scored as correct (100%) or incorrect (0%). A learner can get partial credit on some questions (for example, if a learner answers 2 out of 4 answers correctly on a matching question, he receives partial (50%) credit for that question).

The Average annual salary per employee ($) figure is used by the Estimated Value charts to calculate several key business metrics showing the ongoing value to your organization accrued through use of Skillsoft content solutions.

This controls the language for the Percipio-generated emails. From the drop-down list, select the default language in which you want your emails sent.

Enable Content Sharing

This controls the Copy Link option on content cards.

• (Default) Select this option to show the Copy Link option.
• Uncheck to hide the Copy Link option.

Automatically redirect users to corporate sign-in screen

This controls the sign-in redirect on the Percipio sign in screen. This option is available for users with SAML integration.

• Select this option to redirect your users to your corporate sign-in screen instead of Percipio's sign in page. Users without corporate credentials can access your site via the following link:
• https://<sitename>.percipio.com/login.html#/classic
• (Default) Uncheck this option if you do not have SAML enabled on your site, or if you do not want your users redirected to a corporate login page.

Enable Mentoring

This option controls the display of the Ask a Mentor feature for your learners. This setting applies to Percipio for the Web, Percipio Mobile App, and ELSA.

• (Default) Select this option to show the Ask a Mentor link on available channels and content cards.
• Uncheck this option to hide the Ask a Mentor link.

Allow Percipio to send additional welcome emails to learners who have not signed in

 This option controls the automatic Welcome email series (the initial Welcome email and additional reminder emails).

• (Default) Select this option to enable automatic Welcome emails. This option:
  • makes the Email field on the Create User and Edit User pages a required field,
  • automatically sends a Welcome email to all new and updated users with a valid email address in their profile,
  • automatically sends a series of follow-up reminder emails to those users if they do not sign in within a few days, and
  • changes the function of the Send Welcome Email button on the Notifications page to send both the Welcome email and reminder emails to all users with a valid email address in their profile.
• Uncheck this option to disable automatic Welcome emails. This option:
  • makes the Email field on the Create User and Edit User pages an optional field,
  • disables the automatic Welcome and reminder emails, and
  • changes the function of the Send Welcome Email button on the Notifications page to send only a single Welcome email (without reminder emails) to all users with a valid email address in their profile.

Automatically pre-select the Send Welcome email option on the Create User, Edit User, and Import pages

When selected, this option enables Percipio to automatically send the Welcome email to new and updated users.

• (Default) Select this option to automatically check the Send Welcome email check box on the Create User, Edit User, and Import User pages. This option:
  • checks the Send Welcome email option on the Create User, Edit User, and Import User page, and
  • sends a Welcome email when you create or update a user.
    • If the Allow Percipio to send additional welcome emails to learners who have not signed in setting is enabled, the initial Welcome email is sent.     • If the Allow Percipio to send additional welcome emails to learners who have not signed in setting is disabled, only a single Welcome email is sent.

  • You must manually check this option on these pages if you wish to send a Welcome email. The Allow Percipio to send additional welcome emails to learners who have not signed in setting determines if a single or if multiple emails are sent.
