LMS-specific notes for Skillsoft SCORM content

SCORM Content Importation:

• In Catalog Manager, import course manifests via “Import Resource” or import PIFs via “Import

Content package”.

• Bulk Upload
  • Multiple courses can be imported at once by putting a number of SCORM PIFs into a single zip file and selecting the “Import Content Package” option under Catalog Management.

    Note: If any of the titles have been previously imported, enter a Prefix that will be appended to the course IDs. Otherwise the import will fail where an ID matches an ID already in the Catalog.

LMS Status:

• EKP 5.6 displays a status of ‘In Process’ until the player posts a ‘Completed’ lesson_status at which stage the course is marked as ‘Completed’ in the Transcript.

Course Descriptions:

• After a default installation and import, the course description is not displayed as expected on EKP.

  Workaround: Prior to installation, configure the installervalues.properties as follows:

  MetadataInOrganization=true

  EKP looks for metadata as a direct child of Organization or Manifest elements but by default the CIK places it as child of the Resource element only.

IT-e3 SCORM12 Content detected as SCORM2004:

• By default EKP detects IT-e3 SCORM12 content as SCORM2004 which can lead to pop-up errors and tracking issues.

  Workaround:

  1. In EKP, select System Administration Manager > System Configuration > System Configuration.
  2. Uncheck Enable SCORM 2004 support.

  This ensures IT-e3 SCORM 12 content launches as SCORM 12.
