Content Settings

Skillsoft makes partner content packages available for customers to license. Skillsoft makes no WCAG accessibility claims for any of the content contained within these packages. Partner content is not covered by the Skillsoft VPATs.

If you only want WCAG accessible courses to be available to your learners, you can choose to remove non-accessible content from your site. The default setting is to show non-accessible content. To hide non-accessible content:

1. From the Settings menu, select Site Configuration, then select Content Settings.
2. Remove the check from Content that does not conform to accessibility standards detailed in Skillsoft VPATs. This removes any Skillsoft or partner content from your site that does not conform to WCAG accessibility standards.
3. Select Save changes.

Some partner agreements do not allow for all their content to be accessed as part of your Skillsoft license agreement. In those instances, their restricted content can still show within Skillsoft areas, subjects, channels, and Aspire Journeys, but when the learner selects to launch a restricted item, they are taken outside Percipio to purchase the content.

If you want to show the restricted content to your learners, you can opt to add the restricted content to your site. Non-restricted items always show to learners as part of their license distribution. The default setting is not to show restricted content.

To show restricted content available for purchase:

1. From the Settings menu, select Site Configuration, then select Content Settings.
2. Check the Content that requires additional purchases setting. This displays the content that requires additional purchases.
3. Select Save changes.

When a learner selects to launch Global Knowledge (GK) content, they are prompted to enter their first and last names and their email address before they can access the content. This personally identifiable information (PII) is stored with GK and not Percipio. GK does not market direct to the learner using PII gained in this way.

To hide GK content requiring PII:

1. From the Settings menu, select Site Configuration, then select Content Settings.
2. Remove the check the Content that requires personally identifiable information (PII) setting. This hides the content that requires users to enter their first and last names and email address.
3. Select Save changes.

This switch does not apply to other partner content such as labs from Microsoft and cloud training from GCP, AWS, and Azure. These vendors may prompt learners to enter first and last names and their email address to enable hands-on learning experiences. This PII is stored with that vendor who abides by their own privacy policies. If you do not want to show this content to your users, you must hide it using the Hide content feature.

Skillsoft offers CAISY™, a Conversation Artificial Intelligence Simulator. CAISY provides interactive, scenario-based content powered by AI where a learner can practice new skills in a safe space. This AI simulation content allows learners to choose a role, practice specific skills by responding to AI prompts, and receive adaptive, personalized feedback to guide their development.

If you have any one of the Expert collections or the Skillsoft Leadership Development Program, you can make this content visible to learners by turning on the Content that is generated by Skillsoft's Conversation AI simulator (CAISY) setting. This setting is on by default for US-based learners. You can check your collection from the License Pools page. Reach out to your Skillsoft account team if you have questions.

If you manage your Skillsoft Compliance content within the Percipio interface and not in the separate Compliance interface, this setting also displays the four CAISY AI compliance courses in the Percipio library.

To show content generated by CAISY, Skillsoft's AI simulator:

1. From the Settings menu, select Site Configuration, then select Content Settings.
2. Check the Content that is generated by Skillsoft's Conversation AI simulator (CAISY) setting.

   

3. Decide on the default privacy setting.
   Partner with Skillsoft to improve CAISY

   If you choose to allow learners to access CAISY AI simulations, you can then decide the default privacy setting that allows learners to Partner with Skillsoft to improve CAISY. The setting is on by default if you are in the US, and off by default if you are in the EU.

   When the setting is checked (on), the learner setting that allows Skillsoft to log the learner's side of the conversation is turned on by default for all learners. Skillsoft logs the learner side of the conversation in an effort to improve CAISY. Learners can make the independent decision at any time to turn off their setting even if the default system setting is on.

   When the setting is unchecked (off), the learner setting is off by default for all learners and Skillsoft does not log the learner side of the conversation unless a learner chooses to turn their personal setting on. You can prevent a learner from turning on their personal setting when the default is off, by checking: Don’t allow learners to turn logging back on.
