New Features and Enhancements

• Several new "extended" services were added to support custom user profile fields. Some of these services replace previous services that performed the same function. This includes:
  • UM_CreateUserExtended replaces UM_CreateUser.
  • UM_EditUserExtended replaces UM_EditUser.
  • UD_GetAssetResultsExtended replaces UD_GetAssetResults.
  • UM_GetUserDetailsExtended replaces UM_GetUserDetails.
  • SO_GetMultiActionSignOnURLExtended replaces SO_GetMultiActionSignOnURL

  Customers new to Skillport, and customers who upgrade to Skillport 8 and modify their user profile fields to support the new data types, must use the new services.

  The previous services are still available for customers using Skillport 7.x, and customers who upgrade to Skillport 8 but choose not to modify their custom user profile fields.

• The UM_GetProfileFieldDefinitions service dynamically returns all user profile fields enabled for your site. Skillsoft recommends running this service prior to using the new extended services in order to determine which fields are available.
• The following services have been deprecated:
  • UD_InitiateCustomReportByUsers
  • UD_InitiateCustomReportByUserGroups
