Skillcheck

Note: In SkillStudio, you cannot create new Skillchecks; however, you may edit existing Skillchecks in a course.

Skillchecks are graphic-based practice strategies that allow learners the opportunity to practice previously demonstrated procedures on a simulated software application within the SkillSoft Course Player. To achieve the learning objectives in GUI based demonstration material, it is often required that the learner practices the described concepts and procedures.

Each Skillcheck takes the form of a realistic task that users of the software under discussion would regularly complete as part of their working day. These are interactive exercises, where the most important of the application's selectable options and input fields are simulated to respond in the player as they would when acted upon by the learner in the application itself.

Note: Skillchecks allow learners to perform single-clicks, right-clicks, left-clicks, double-clicks, and menu path selections. Drag and drop functionalities are also included, allowing defined drag objects and drop targets. Auto-focusing of text fields and cursor changes are not supported.
