Note: Snowbird courses are Skillsoft Business Skills courses, including all Legacy soft skills content, and courses created using the Course Customization Toolkit. Graphics from an imported Snowbird course may appear small on the page.

Note: Course file source code for Snowbird/legacy courses is shipped from Skillsoft on CD-ROM in zipped format. You must first unzip the files to your local drive then browse to the unzipped location. Legacy courses will NOT load directly from the CD-ROM.

1. Select File | Import | Import Business Skills Course.

   

2. In the Course file field, browse to the location of the course file. Snowbird course IDs are different than ones generated with SkillStudio and have two or four letters followed by a four digit number (for example: comm0101 or hr0261). The course file, depending on the type of Snowbird course you wish to modify, may have any of the following extension types: .xml, .dat, .zip or no extension at all. You will find a file that mirrors the course ID ending in .bak. Do NOT use this file. Once you have located the correct file, select the file and click open.

   

3. Browse to the course's desired output directory (where you'd like to save the course).
4. Enter the course ID. See Course ID Naming Convention for more information.
5. Re-type the course ID.
6. Select a default audio format.
7. Click Import.

Note: e3 courses are legacy Skillsoft IT and desktop courses. You cannot edit individual topics in e3 courses. However, you can move the topics within the course, add new topics in CCA format, and edit existing tests, as those are converted to CCA format once imported.

1. Select File | Import | Import e3 Course.

   

2. In the E3 course directory field, browse to the location of the e3 course file. The e3 course files are shipped to you by Skillsoft on CD-ROMs. In order to import the course, you must browse to the folder called cbtlib on the CD and then to the folder that corresponds to the course ID for the course you wish to import. Browse to the course's desired Output directory (where you'd like to save the course).

   

3. Enter the course ID. See Course ID Naming Convention for more information.
4. Re-type the course ID.
5. Select a default audio format.
6. Click Import.
