New Features and Enhancements (as of November 18, 2022)
Expanding skills of your workforce
The items in this section provide ways to grow your talent and fill critical skill gaps, building mastery with confidence.
After a learner completes a Skill Benchmark, they can see a detailed report of how they did on each question topic. For each topic they see whether their response was Correct, Partially Correct, or Incorrect. Learners can use this information to get a detailed picture of their skill level and then easily access the associated videos and courses for each topic.
For more information, see Skill Benchmarks.
When searching for content, you can now use the Content Source filter and select CyberVista and Whizlabs to narrow the list of results to just that content. As Skillsoft partners with more content vendors, learners may discover that they like one over the other, and this filter helps them quickly find their best content match.
Currently Whizlab content is only available as part of Career Journeys.
Engaging your learners to build a learning culture
The items in this section provide ways to engage your users so they want to learn and make learning a habit.
Skillsoft offers content in a variety of languages, however depending on your license and the topic you are learning, you may not see a course available in languages other then English. On by default for all 15 available languages, learners can now access machine-translated closed captions (or subtitles) for English courses when they can't find courses in their language.
When learners play an English version of a course, from the Closed Caption icon , they can choose a different language in which to follow along. This facilitates the learning experience for learners whose native language is not English. At the end of the course, learners can provide feedback about the quality of the translation to help make it better for next time.
For more information, see Courses with Translated Closed Captions.
Manage, promote and measure learning
The items in this section provide the tools you need to manage users and content, promote learning, and measure learning effectiveness on your bottom line.
License consumption report: Now shows start date, end date, and user attributes to help you easily discern important information and make data-driven decisions.
- License pool Start date and End date: If your date range filter spans the time frame when a license pool was renewed, a user may show on the report twice for the same license pool. With the start and end dates, you now can easily distinguish when the license pool was active within the date range filter.
- User attribute columns: These columns show your custom user attributes. Now you can sort and filter the report to see how different groups of users in your company are consuming the content allowing you to make data-driven decisions.
Learner Activity report: To help you more easily report on your live courses, the following values now show in the Status column for live courses:
- Registered
- Approval pending
- Canceled
- Denied
- Wait listed
For more information, see License Consumption report and Learner Activity report.
If you added any of the Career Journeys to Percipio, you can now assess its value through the Career Journey dashboard. The dashboard gives you the big picture of how many learners accessed the journeys, how many completed a journey, and how many started a journey. It also provides details about journeys and tracks accessed, when, and time spent.
For more information, see Career Journey dashboard.
By default, all custom Digital Badges are public. When badges are public, anyone with a link to your Accredible page can see a listing of all badges your company can issue along with the title and description of the custom journeys and tracks. Learners can share their public badges on social media and search engines can discover them. The new privacy setting allows you to make your company's custom Digital Badges private. When badges are private, they don't show on your company's Accredible sites, learners can't share them, and search engines can't discover them.
If you change the privacy setting at any point, previously earned badges retain their public or private visibility status. Changing the privacy setting only impacts badges issued after the change. Learners can override the organization-level setting by changing the visibility of only their badges to public or private regardless of the organization-level privacy setting.
For more information, see Digital Badges.
When you add hosted custom content (SCORM or AICC files) into Percipio, you no longer see the option to allow for window resizing under the player behavior section. This is because Rustici and the latest browsers no longer support window resizing.
Usability Enhancements
The items in this section show where we are making improvements to the interface for a better experience.
When you access your Account Information page from your profile, you now see the information organized into unique sections helping you more easily distinguish what you can update.
