The list of new features and enhancements is organized according to the themes in our Percipio development roadmap.
Note: Updates to the Percipio mobile app typically release within 5 days of the Percipio platform release.

Engaging your learners to build a learning culture

The items in this section provide ways to engage your users so they want to learn and make learning a habit.

If you launch a video from search results, it now launches in the video-only player instead of opening within the course where it resides. This lets the learner know that the video is a self-contained content item.

The video-only player has no table of contents or course details, nor does it play the next video in the course sequence or show related content:

To launch the course that this video is part of, select the course title link from the video's search results card.

To help expand learning options available to learners who are not native English speakers, and who have set their Percipio language to something other than English, learners now see the following:

  • When performing a search for content, they see a message in their local language letting them know that if they switch their interface to English, they can play English courses with translated closed captions.

  • When searching, there is now a filter called Subtitles/CC that allows learners to filter results for Skillsoft courses that have subtitles or closed captions. This is also important for learners who are searching English courses and are looking for courses with subtitles that are translated into other languages.

Manage, promote, and measure learning

The items in this section provide the tools you need to manage users and content, promote learning, and measure learning effectiveness on your bottom line.

If you configured leaderboards to show by audience, learners who are members of the audience, can now see the audience name in the drop down when viewing their leaderboard.

When you download a report, the file name now shows the date and time the report was last updated.

When creating an audience and specifying list-type user attributes to include, you can paste in a list of values instead of entering each separately.

Compliance, Ecosystems, and Integrations

The items in this section help you to integrate Percipio across your learning ecosystem and promote how Skillsoft works with its partners.

The Learning Edge is Skillsoft's online user community. It contains information to help you make the most out of your experience with Skillsoft including, content catalogs, marketing ideas, best practices, joining a discussion with peers and experts, and enhancement requests.

Site admins, learning admins, and content curators can now automatically access the Learning Edge directly from Percipio without waiting for their Skillsoft account team to create a separate user account for them.

From the Explore menu, select Learning Edge. If you do not see the Explore menu, please contact your Skillsoft account team.

If you have not yet accessed the Learning Edge, an account is created for you immediately upon accessing the Learning Edge from Percipio. Your Learning Edge account uses information from your Percipio user account such as first name, last name, and email address.

Usability Enhancements

The items in this section show where we are making improvements to the interface for a better experience.

If you previously started a skill benchmark, but didn't finish, there was no easy way to continue where you left off from your Skill Benchmark page or from the Skill Benchmark Showcase page accessed from the library. Now you see a Continue button alongside that benchmark so you can pick up where you left off.

Previously, time you spent taking a course knowledge check or course test was not counted toward your weekly learning goal. Now that time is counted toward your learning goal.

Percipio now supports hosted custom content in French (Canada) with this release. With custom content added in this language, users can view the Percipio user interface in Canadian French.
