New Features and Enhancements for March 11, 2025
Expanding skills of your workforce
The items in this section provide ways to grow your talent and fill critical skill gaps, building mastery with confidence.

This release finds the following updates to the AI Assistant:
- To ensure a seamless and culturally relevant learning experience, learners can now access the AI Assistant in their Percipio site language. Learners now benefit from localized welcome questions, AI Assistant headers, and button labels, enhancing their interaction by ensuring that all responses, including asset recommendations and answers, are presented in their chosen language.
- Learners can now access the AI Assistant from the Course player so they can ask questions while they are taking a course to clarify confusing points or to gain a deeper understanding of the material.

Some Skillsoft courses now offer a modular approach to learning. This new approach helps learners get the most out of their learning experience by providing specific examples, practice opportunities, and knowledge checks within a particular topic of the course. A module is complete when learners meet the completion criteria of each item with the module. You can tell a modular course because of the multiple item indicator showing within a topic.
A module is a content type that you can see in reports and in search results.
Engaging your learners to build a learning culture
The items in this section provide ways to engage your users so they want to learn and make learning a habit.

This release finds the following enhancements to CAISY:
-
To ensure a constructive feedback experience for learners who take a CAISY, the Poor rating has been renamed to Needs Improvement. This change is reflected in both the learner interface and the CAISY Dashboard including both summary and detailed views, as well as in CSV downloads.
-
To provide a more inclusive environment for learners whose native language is not English, CAISY is now offered in multiple languages: See all available languages on the Setting your Language page.

To maintain the integrity and professionalism of the certification process and allow learners to earn credentials that reflect the most current standards, they now see the PMI PDU 2025 logo on their completion certificates for eligible courses and bootcamps. Additionally, certificates previously issued, when reopened, show the new logo.
Manage, promote, and measure learning
The items in this section provide the tools you need to manage users and content, promote learning, and measure learning effectiveness on your bottom line.

You can now schedule an assignment to recur automatically at specified intervals, such as daily, weekly, monthly, or custom intervals. This feature is great for when employees are required to take regular training such as harassment or policy mandates. Recurring assignments reduce your manual workload and ensure consistent delivery of assignments to learners. After learners complete the first occurrence of the assignment, they get notified when it is time to retake the assignment.
Each occurrence completion is tracked in the Assignment series of reports for you to monitor.
For more details about creating a recurring assignment, please see Create Assignments.

If your organization has specified an Alternate email address, and your SMTP authentication fails, Percipio now suspends all outgoing emails until the issue is resolved or until the day ends. Previously, Percipio continued to send emails using the no-reply@Percipio.com email address. Additionally, all active site admins receive an email letting them know there is an issue with the custom SMTP authentication.
If no action is taken within 24 hours, Percipio automatically checks the SMTP connection. If resolved, email services resume. If not resolved, Percipio sends another email notification to all site admins letting them know of the issue. This daily check continues until the issue is resolved or the Custom SMTP feature is disabled.

To give you greater flexibility and control over your Percipio email campaigns, you now have the ability to abort a custom email campaign while it is In Progress. Campaigns will transition from Scheduled to In Progress at the designated time, allowing you to track completion percentages. You can stop any unprocessed emails in an In Progress campaign at any time.
Note that emails already sent cannot be recalled, and once all emails are processed, the campaign status updates to Sent.

This enhancement empowers you to better organize and manage your learning environment by allowing you to quickly find channels you want to hide. Go to Content > Manage Hidden Content > Channels. Use the new search feature to find channels you want to hide. You no longer have to find the channel in the library and use the Actions menu option.
The feature mirrors how you hide content on the Content tab, ensuring a consistent and efficient experience. Remember, when you hide a channel, learners can still locate content contained within the channel through search. If you want to prevent users from finding content items through search, you have to hide those individually from the Content tab.

Whenever you update a user's job role, Percipio automatically compares the entry with the existing list of job role records. If you enter a new job role that is not on the list, Percipio automatically adds it along with its associated skills.
Compliance, Ecosystems, and Integrations
The items in this section help you to integrate Percipio across your learning ecosystem and promote how Skillsoft works with its partners.

To improve the compliance course experience and provide you with more detailed performance tracking, several updates have been made to the assessment options for learners. These changes are designed to facilitate question-level tracking, a necessary feature for upcoming Compliance Risk Dashboards.
- The Take Test button has been updated to Start Test for a clearer call to action.
- The Answer Later option has been removed to streamline the testing process.
- When learners select Save & Exit, they now choose between Exit or Continue without seeing a list of questions. Choosing Continue Test from the transition page returns learners to the exact question they exited on, saving time and maintaining focus.
- The Retake Test button is now labeled as Start New Test to better reflect the action.
