New Features and Enhancements as of August 11, 2026
Legend:
Available only for customers who purchase the full Skillsoft platform.
♦On pause for now. We spotted something that didn’t meet our standards, and we’re working on it.
Engaging your learners to build a learning culture
The items in this section provide ways to engage your users so they want to learn and make learning a habit.
Study group organizers can now adjust the study group end date after the study group starts and before it ends, so the group can continue learning without interruption.
Analytics Updates
The items in this section showcase changes to reports and dashboards to help you more effectively and efficiently manage your programs.
You can now use the AI Assistant to run, download, and schedule analytics reports using natural language. The AI Assistant may help identify the appropriate report, apply supported filters, and return results without requiring manual report configuration.
With this enhancement to the AI Assistant, you can:
- Run analytics reports using natural language prompts.
- Download report results as CSV files.
- Schedule report delivery by email on a one-time, daily, weekly, or monthly basis.
Natural language filtering currently supports date ranges, audiences, users, and content titles. Report scheduling is available for Standard Reports and Skillsoft Template Reports; custom templates are not currently supported. AI Assistant does not currently return dashboards.
So we can continually improve, please submit feedback using the thumbs up/down icon in the response.
Now when you access Analytics you see a new design for the Dashboard list page. You can toggle between the standard list view and the new more user friendly card view for easy access.
By default the card view displays.
AI Coach Analytics
AI Coach is now available in early access for customers who purchased the full platform experience. You must turn it on for learners to experience it.
When AI Coach is enabled, you have access to the AI Coach dashboard so you can better understand how coaching is being used across your organization. With the AI Coach dashboard:
- You see aggregated data on learner engagement with AI Coach, including how often learners interact with the coach.
- You can review assessment activity to understand how learners are progressing and where they may need additional support.
- You gain visibility into goal activity, including how learners are setting and working toward their development goals with AI Coach.
To access AI Coach analytics, go to: Analytics >All Dashboards > AI Coach.
A feature usage report for AI Coach is coming soon, which will further enhance your ability to monitor and optimize how AI Coach is adopted across your learner population.
New Settings
To help you better manage new features and enhancements that come out with this release, this section contains a summary of new settings that you can configure in Percipio.
The AI Translation setting now supports the ability to use AI translation for both custom email templates and Page Builder (if enabled on your site).
Previously, the setting only supported AI translation for Page Builder.
When on, admins can use AI to translate Page Builder content or AI to translate custom emails into multiple languages. Admins can review and edit translations before publishing.
When off, admins cannot use AI to create multilingual Page Builder content or emails. Admins must provide their own translations. Each multilingual page and email can be created and managed manually. The setting is off by default.
Manage, promote, and measure learning
The items in this section provide the tools you need to manage users and content, promote learning, and measure learning effectiveness on your bottom line.
You can now create and manage custom email templates for assignments, giving you control over how you notify learners about new assignments and remind them of ones coming due and ones that are overdue.
To create custom assignment notifications, go to Emails and Notifications → Email Templates > Create New Template and select Assignment Email as the template category. You can then choose which type of assignment email to create:
- New Assignment Email: Use this email template from the Notification email section when creating assignments.
- Assignment Reminder Before Due Date: Use this email template from the Reminder emails section when creating assignments. You can select it for both initial reminders and due date approaching reminders.
- Assignment Reminder After Due Date: Use this email template from the Reminder emails section when creating assignments. This template is only available for After due date reminders.
Important: This enhancement applies only to assignments created on or after August 11, 2026. Assignments created before this date will continue to use the existing assignment email customization process.
You can now use AI to translate your custom email templates into multiple languages, helping you deliver consistent, localized communications to learners at scale. You must first turn on the setting.
When you create or edit an email template, you can select to have it send in multiple languages. After you finish designing in the default language, select Translate with AI. For each language selected, AI translates all content contained in the default language template including the Subject, Pre-header, and Email Content.
After you initiate the AI translation, you see the status for each selected language on its tab. Translations may take up to a few hours to complete. You can save your work and continue with other tasks. You receive a Message Center notification when translations are complete.
With this release, you find the following enhancements to your existing Live Course (ILT) feature:
Multiple classrooms
You can now associate multiple classrooms from a single location to both ILT classes and ILT courses, reducing manual setup and improving scheduling flexibility.
You can add multiple classrooms manually or through bulk import.
New ILT Export report:
To help you better measure and report on instructor-led training (ILT), you can now generate a consolidated report that combines both Skillsoft and custom ILT offerings into a single report. The report is called Instructor-led Training CSV Export.
- This report is only available as a CSV export.
- Locate the report from Analytics > Reports > Activity > Instructor-led Training CSV Export.
- In addition to the standard filters, you can also filter by:
- Delivery mode so you can quickly isolate in-person, online, or blended ILT sessions.
- Instructor
Instructor emails
If you have custom live course emails enabled on your platform, instructors now receive notifications when:
- You add them to a class: They receive a calendar invitation so they can add it to their calendar.
- You remove them from a class or cancel the class: They receive cancellation notifications so they can remove the event from their calendar.
- You change the class details: They receive updated calendar invitations when you make changes to the days, times, or locations.
When there are one to five sessions per class: Instructors receive individual calendar invitation emails for each session, allowing them to accept or decline specific time slots.
When there are 6 or more sessions per class: To avoid inbox clutter, instructors receive a single summary email containing separate .ics file attachments for every session in the class.
Bulk add ILT schedule
If you have purchased the Skillsoft platform, you can now add all your live course scheduling data into a CSV file to create courses, classes, and sessions using a bulk add process. You must first bulk add your courses, then you can bulk add your classes and sessions to those courses.
Locate the bulk add process from Content > Live Courses > Bulk Import.
Follow the guidelines in the template to ensure the data you enter is error free.
The Assignment list page is now broken out into three tabs: one for Active, Canceled, and Archived assignments so that you can quickly and easily find assignments in those categories without having to filter.
Compliance, Ecosystems, and Integrations
The items in this section help you to integrate Skillsoft platform across your learning ecosystem and promote how Skillsoft works with its partners.
Instructor-led Training with MS Teams Integration
You can now integrate Microsoft Teams with the Skillsoft Platform so that the platform can automatically create and update MS Teams meetings in support of your custom live courses, easing administration burden for having to create and update links first and then adding those to class details.
When you create a live class, you can choose online and select MS Teams. The integration automatically creates an MS Teams link and adds it to the class details. Learners and instructors see that link in the platform and in email notifications so they can easily join when the class starts.
The integration also supports automatic attendance marking based on the MS Teams attendance reports, helping reduce administrative overhead and streamline the virtual learning experience. Automatic attendance marking only happens for a learner if they attend the minimum requirement of all sessions associated with the class. If a learner does not meet the minimum requirement, you must manually mark attendance for that learner, complete or incomplete. The automatic marking will never mark a learner incomplete if they are not on the MS Teams attendance report for the minimum amount of time specified.
To help you quickly identify training gaps and improve course effectiveness, Risk and Readiness Insights now includes detailed topic and question-level analytics.
From the Highest Training Risk Areas section, select Assessment Overview to drill from high-level risk indicators into course, topic, and question performance. With these new insights, you can:
- Review course performance and key metrics, including completion and overdue rates.
- Identify under-performing topics using scores, completion rates, failure rates, and time spent.
- Analyze question-level performance, including pass rates, attempts, and time spent.
- Assign remediation training directly from the page to address identified knowledge gaps.
LX Design Studio and Page Builder Enhancements
The items in this section pertain to customers who have licensed the full Skillsoft Platform which includes LX Design Studio, a suite of AI-driven apps and tools that allows you to easily design custom content tailored to your organization's policies, programs, and skills. It also includes Page Builder, a tool that allows you to create custom landing pages within the platform for specific groups of learners offering guidance and direction.
General LX Design Studio
To keep your LX Design Studio experience current with the latest AI advancements, we are planning to update the AI conversation models that power LX Design Studio and all its apps (including Course Designer, CAISY for Conversations, CAISY for Presentations, and Assessments). This update will occur not less than 30 days from now.
Learners are not likely to notice any changes in how these features behave, but you benefit from improved security posture and a more robust, future-ready AI foundation across your learning ecosystem. If you need additional information about this planned update, please contact your Skillsoft account team.
You will soon have the option within the Media Library to create images using AI. Authors provide a text prompt, and AI creates the image which is automatically saved to the Media Library so they can be reused across content items like any other media asset.
The AI used to generate images has built-in safety guardrails powered by the Gemini Flash Image model to help you maintain a safe and compliant environment when authors generate images. The guardrails:
- Evaluate requests against safety policies (for example, inappropriate or unsafe content).
- Prevent an image from being generated when the request violates a guardrail
- Log system events whenever a guardrail is triggered, giving you better visibility into how the feature is being used and helping you monitor for potential misuse.
Learners ultimately see only the approved images that authors select and publish in their content, providing a safer and more consistent visual experience. For more details, please see the knowledge base.
When you use the Design Assistant from the home page of LX Design Studio to guide you in determining the right type of content to create, the Design Assistant now suggests up to three existing content items matching the recommended type (course, CAISY, or skill benchmark) that may be relevant to use as reference content. If any suggestion is appropriate for your learning objectives, you can select one to inform the structure and scope of your new content.
This helps streamline content creation by building on proven content without duplicating it.
Previously, the Design Assistant from the home page only recommended course content; it now recommends CAISY and skill benchmarks too. Please note, when working in a specific app’s Design Assistant, it also suggests existing reference content.
Course Designer
You can now offer more authentic listening experiences by choosing additional English narration accents directly in Course Designer. You can now select both male and female voices in Indian, UK, Australian, Canadian, and New Zealand English for course narration.
With this added detail, learners now hear course audio that better reflects their regional expectations, helping them feel more connected to the content and improving overall engagement.
The new Template Manager allows you to create branded templates from scratch or import existing PowerPoint templates for use in the Course Designer so that the courses you create can all reflect a consistent brand for your company. With the Template manager, you have the following available:
- Create new templates from scratch: You can now build course templates from scratch within the platform. The new editor supports custom backgrounds, rich text styling, icons, and precise shape placement, giving you full control over the "look and feel" of your brand.
- Import PowerPoint templates: If you already have established designs, you can import existing pptx files. The platform now automatically extracts slides, generates thumbnails, and converts them into editable templates.
- Template suggestions: To save time during the Build phase, the Design Assistant now analyzes your course content and recommends the most appropriate template, ensuring your visual style matches your subject matter. You can view thumbnails of each slide with the template so you know exactly how your course will look before you build it.
- Auto-storyboard generation: After you finalize your script, the Design Assistant can now automatically generate your storyboard using your selected template, removing manual navigation steps.
Existing courses remain unchanged. A limited set of legacy templates is being migrated into the new system; not all PowerPoint templates will be available in the new Template Manager.
Coming Soon reminders, in case you missed it
The items in this section highlight changes to AI elements in the platform so you can stay in compliance with your internal processes and guidelines.
We are planning to introduce an updated Library experience with the goal of making it easier for learners to find relevant content, navigate more intuitively, and focus on the skills most relevant to them.
Before we reintroduce the new experience, we will provide:
- Preview materials and documentation
- Guidance for communicating changes to learners
When we introduce the new design in the platform, it will become the standard experience. Our goal is to ensure your team has the advance notice, guidance, and support needed to prepare and adopt it successfully. More details to come.
When you allow Skillsoft to collect the learner side of the conversation during a CAISY interaction, you now have the ability to set how long Skillsoft retains that data. When AI optimization and improvements setting is on, by default, Skillsoft retains the data for 180 days. You now have the option to reduce it to 30, 60, or 90 days.
Please note that if you do shorten the retention period, you may limit our ability to improve AI feedback and accuracy and learners only see their conversation history for that retention period.
When learners upload certification files AI will automatically capture certification details and confirm that the uploaded file represents a professional certification, avoiding reliance on manual entry and improving accuracy and consistency at the point of submission.
Learners can review and adjust the extracted information before submitting. This enhancement gives managers and HR greater confidence in the validity of uploaded certifications while ensuring more complete and representative certification reporting.
Available only for customers who purchase the full Skillsoft platform.
