Social Learning Options

Percipio provides options where you can collaborate and challenge colleagues so you can foster an environment of continuous learning. Collaboration and friendly rivalry can help you increase your enjoyment and motivation for learning. You can get support and new perspectives, celebrate milestones together, and boost your knowledge retention and practical application of new job skills.

Depending on how your administrators configure Percipio for your company, you could see one or more of the following features that encourage you to learn in a community with others:

  • Star ratings: When you consume a piece of content, you can rate it to let colleagues know how useful it was by giving a star rating. Choose from 1 to 5 stars.

Star ratings is a feature that needs to be turned on by your Percipio administrator for you to use it.

  • Share links: If you discover interesting content, you can quickly point your colleagues to it by using share links. Share links stay active up to a year if no one follows it. You can share links directly to an individual content item and to a group of multiple content items in a subject or in a playlist.

Sharing of playlists is a feature that needs to be turned on by your Percipio administrator for you to use it.

  • Leaderboards:See how you rank among your peers and colleagues within your company with regards to the number of completions or badges you earned by viewing leaderboards.

Your Percipio administrator must enable and configure leaderboards for you to see them.

  • Digital Badges: When you complete a course, track, or journey, you can earn a Digital Badge. If you want, you can then share your badges to your social media accounts and let others know what you are learning. You can also download an image of the badge or email a link to it as other ways to share.

Your Percipio administrator must enable and configure Badges for you to earn and share badges.

  • Study Groups: If you want company in your next learning endeavor, invite others to learn together with you. You will increase your enjoyment and interactivity, get support and new perspectives, create motivation, and celebrate milestones together. When you start a study group, you can add a link to a social platform channel. This allows you to connect to a dedicated channel within either Microsoft Teams or Slack where you can ask each other questions and discuss how you might apply what you learn at your job helping you boost your knowledge retention and practical application of new job skills.

Your Percipio administrator must enable Study Groups for you to use it.

  • Learning programs: Your administrators might create learning programs which contain a set of content that a group of people, called a cohort, go through together at the same time. To support each cohort, the administrator can add a link to a social platform channel. This allows you and the members of the cohort to connect to a dedicated channel within either Microsoft Teams or Slack where you can ask questions and can discuss how you might apply what you learn at your job.

When an admin adds a link to a social platform channel to a learning program, you'll see the link to the space when you access the program and in email notifications about the program.
