Manage and Deploy Content in an LMS/LXP
Depending on your contract with Skillsoft, you might have up to two different groups of content:
- Skillsoft content - this includes content from Business, Technology & Developer, and Leadership collections. This does not include any compliance content.
- Skillsoft Compliance content - this includes content from the Legal, and Environmental, Safety & Health collections.
When integrating content with your system, you can choose which content you want to deploy, the initial deployment method, and how best to keep the deployment in sync with the regular content updates Skillsoft provides.
What content you deploy and how you deploy it is largely dependent on two things: capabilities of the system you are integrating with and your content management strategy.
Content Integration Approaches
Percipio provides two content integration approaches depending on which system you want to integrate with and the content you have:
- Connector Integration: Use this method if you want to integrate Skillsoft content on your instance of Cornerstone, Degreed, Saba, SAP SuccessFactors, or SumTotal.
- Content integration: Use this method if you have any other LMS, another system such as SharePoint, or want to integrate Skillsoft Compliance content.

Content Integration for Skillsoft Content
Review the deployment options available for Skillsoft non-compliance content and follow the actions outlined:
Other LMS
With any other system you can choose to deploy one of the following options:
- Deploy all Skillsoft supported content via FTP: Receive an AICC zip file that contains all supported content from all your Skillsoft non-compliance collections. Deploy from an FTP site.
- Action: Work with your Skillsoft account team.
Note: Some systems that only support AICC files are smaller and may not be able to support a large AICC file as would get generated by a full content export. Check your system's guidelines for importing AICC files.
- Deploy selected supported content from an AICC file via file download Choose the supported content to include in an AICC file. Manually download the AICC file and install on your system. Choose this option to really target the content your learner sees from your catalog.
