Working with Presentations

Dialogue Design can produce presentations for use in Skillsoft Dialogue Live sessions, courses playable through the Skillsoft Course Player, and mobile presentations for play through Skillport Mobile. Presentation files have one of the following file name extensions:

• .prs: For presentations and courses. The presentation file contains all of the related content, including the outline structure, learning assets, images, sound, Flash content, notes, tests, and polls. You can save presentation and course content of more than 2 GB in a .prs file.
• .mprs: For mobile presentations. The mobile presentation file contains all of the related content, including learning assets, images, sound, flash content and tests. Notes and polls are not available in mobile presentations. You can save presentation and course content of more than 2 GB in a .mprs file.

The built-in spell check helps to verify the text that you type is correct. When lines appear under words, right-click the word and make selections from the corrections menu. You may come across this in some dialog boxes and text fields; for example, when creating tests, providing alternate text for slides, adding audio/video, providing session properties and session references, or publishing a presentation. You can set the default dictionary language in the Options dialog box. For more information, see Options Dialog Box.

Note: These file types are not interchangeable. A .prs file cannot be played on a mobile device, nor can a .mprs file be played in Dialogue Live.

Presentations contain:

• Lessons, Topics, and Sub-folders which are not shown in the Dialogue Live session.
• Content elements which are shown in the Dialogue Live session.

Creating and saving presentations:

• Presentations can be created when you first start Dialogue Design or at any time when the application is open.
• When you start a new presentation, you must select a template. For more information, see Creating a New Presentation.
