Percipio Updates - October 2018

New Features Enhancements Bug Fixes

New Features

Retired content

When you attempt to access retired content within the Percipio platform, a message displays and informs you that the content is no longer available to you. You can still access your record of that content on the My Profile > Activity page.

For more information, see Retired Content.

Certificates of completion

Certificates of completion are available for all courses you've completed. To view a certificate, click My Profile > Activity, then click the Download certificate link next to a completed course.

For more information, see Certificate of Completion.

Enhancements

Branding for certificates of completion

If your site is customized with your organization's logo, your learners' certificates of completion display it instead of the standard Percipio logo. For details about how to customize your logo, see the Headers and platform search banner section of the Branding page.

Custom linked content

When creating custom linked content, you can copy and paste a link from certain external sites (such as YouTube). Percipio then automatically populates most of the fields on the Add Linked Content page.

For more information about creating custom linked content, see Create Custom Linked Content.

Batch import

Enhanced Import Users by Batch page

New columns and reports are available on the Import Users by Batch page. When you prevalidate and/or import a CSV file, the Import Users by Batch page displays information such as the file name, import date, the name of the person who imported the file, and more.

For more information about these columns, see Batch Import Reports.

New prevalidation for the batch upload CSV file

CSV file prevalidation is now available for the batch import of multiple users. This process checks all columns and headers in your completed CSV file, and provides detailed information about the file, including error messages for any incorrect entries.

For more information about prevalidation, see Prevalidate the CSV File.

CSV file upload enhancement

When using a CSV file to batch update users, now only the externalUserID column and columns with data changes need to be included. For example, if you want to change a batch of users from active to inactive, your CSV file can look like this:

For more information about editing multiple users, see Update Existing Users by Batch.

Custom channels

You can now create copies of channels with multiple versions of technologies and expertise levels.

For more information about how to create multi-view custom channels, see Create a Custom Channel.

ELSA

The following enhancements were made to both the ELSA Chrome Extension and the ELSA Windows App:

  • Videos, audiobooks and audio summaries no longer autoplay when you launch the asset. You can enable autoplay on the Settings page.
  • A link to access the Change site name setting is now available on the Let's get started page.
  • You can add content to your Playlist from the Search results page.
  • A message displays if you attempt to launch a retired asset.

Additionally, during installation of the ELSA Windows app, the IE11 Add-on is checked by default.
