Engaging your learners to build a learning culture
The items in this section provide ways to engage your users so they want to learn and make learning a habit.
In this release, you now see the settings to customize and set up the Manager dashboard. The Manager dashboard allows managers to see which of their employees are overdue on assignments, which assignments are at risk of not being completed on time, how many of their learners are engaged in learning activities, who has signed up for live learning, and how they are doing compared with other managers in the company.
The setting is on by default. You can customize which widgets display to managers. To customize the Manager Dashboard, navigate to Site Settings > Dashboard > Manager Dashboard.
Later in January, unless you turn it off, the Manager dashboard will display for all users who have:
- A Percipio user role of manager
- Been identified as a Direct Manager for a user using the system attribute Direct Manager
- Been assigned as an audience owner
In this release, you now see the settings to configure experience points (XP) in Percipio for your organization. This gives you a chance to customize your organization’s settings before XP goes live for all users later in January 2026. Learners will be able to earn XP for completing content, while managers will be able to earn XP by creating assignments and engaging team members.
To customize the XP settings, navigate to Site Settings > Engagement > XP (Experience Points).
All XP is on by default. You can customize the following to tailor the XP experience enhancing learner engagement and motivation through visible progress markers:
- Turn off all XP for your organization.
- Turn off XP just for learners.
- Customize the amount of XP learners earn when they access different types of content.
- Turn off XP just for managers.
- Customize the amount of XP managers earn when they perform a task.
- Define names for XP levels and determine the XP values required to reach each level.
When users earn XP, they get instant gratification and they see their invisible cognitive labor transform into visible progress. Earning XP for learning and related tasks can make the process addictive, measurable, and rewarding. Users will be able to track their progress as they accumulate points and level up. If you have leaderboards enabled, users see an XP leaderboard view showing how they rank compared to peers, adding a sense of competition.
Analytics Updates
The items in this section showcase changes to reports and dashboards to help you more effectively and efficiently manage your programs.
You can now get the Executive dashboard in a report format. This enhancement allows you to compare monthly data effectively, helping you better understand engagement patterns with the Percipio platform and make informed program decisions. The report includes global filters such as Date Range and Audience, enabling you to customize the view according to your needs.
For more details, please see the Executive Dashboard.
Manage, promote, and measure learning
The items in this section provide the tools you need to manage users and content, promote learning, and measure learning effectiveness on your bottom line.
You can now replace content with new content in an assignment that is in progress. You no longer have to create a copy, adjust content, reassign, and retire the outdated assignment. With this enhancement, you ensure that learners always get the latest and most valid content for your program. When you replace content in an assignment, learners receive clear messaging and indicators helping them navigate the change.
This enhancement helps you maintain compliance and deliver a seamless learning experience, even when content changes.
For more details, please see the Replace Content in an Assignment.
This release finds a new setting, Content fallback for dialects, that when enabled, allows learners to see and access content in another dialect when content in their chosen site dialect isn't available. Currently, only French Canadian and English variants are supported.
For example, when you enable the Show default language version when dialect-specific content isn't available setting, learners using French Canadian (FR-CA) as their site language can view and access France French (FR-FR) content, and learners using any English dialect other than English US can view and access English US (EN-US) content when there is no content in their selected dialect. Additionally, if the Unified Language Experience setting is also enabled, FR-CA learners can also view and access Skillsoft English US content whose metadata has been translated and whose videos offer translated closed captions.
The default setting for Show default language version when dialect-specific content isn't available is off. We recommend that you turn it on to ensure optimal content accessibility for your learners.
When you create a team automation rule, you can now select a checkbox to automatically include indirect reports into your audience selection. This enhancement simplifies the process of audience management by ensuring that all relevant team members are included in your learning initiatives, enhancing the accuracy and efficiency of your team's learning activities.
Usability
The items in this section show where we are making improvements to the interface for a better experience.
Learners now see precise messaging if they follow a link to a retired channel or journey. If any content within a retired channel or journey was not retired, the message indicates where they can now find the content. If any content in the channel or journey was also retired, the messaging recommends a replacement for that content, if replacement content is available. This update ensures that learners are informed about where they can continue accessing the content they need.
Retired channels and journeys do not show in the library or search results. Any content from retired channels and journeys that was not retired gets curated into another channel or journey and learners can continue to browse and search for it.
