New Features and Enhancements as of September 22, 2026
Foundational enhancements for all
The items in this section apply to all customers who have the Skillsoft Percipio Platform.
If your company uses security questions and answers (knowledge-based authentication) as a password recovery method for the Percipio platform, please be aware that on October 6, 2026, Skillsoft will retire this option from the platform. Because knowledge-based authentication relies on information that may be publicly available, exposed through data breaches, or obtained through social engineering, it is no longer recognized as a secure option for password reset. As part of ongoing security and compliance efforts, Skillsoft is retiring this capability in favor of stronger authentication and recovery approaches.
After the retirement date, users will no longer be able to recover passwords using security questions, and existing security question and answer data will be removed.
Action required: Review your authentication and recovery processes now and ensure users have access to alternative recovery methods, such as SSO or organization-managed identity providers.
The Assignment Summary report now includes a Learners Overdue column. This helps you quickly identify overdue volume and how long learners have been overdue.
The Assignment Summary by User and Assignment Detail by User reports now include Days Overdue column indicating how many days overdue a learner is on an assignment.
Skillsoft now offers five additional locales to help learners access the CAISY scenarios in their preferred language:
- French (Belgium) (fr-BE)
- Dutch (Belgium) (nl-BE)
- French (Switzerland) (fr-CH)
- German (Switzerland) (de-CH)
- Italian (Switzerland) (it-CH)
Enhancements for features existing on your platform
If your Skillsoft Percipio platform currently has the features pertaining to the items listed in this section, you see the following enhancements in addition to the foundational enhancements.
The new AI Memory admin setting is on by default, and is now available to learners if you did not previously turn it off. When this setting is on, the AI Assistant remembers helpful info from learners' past conversations to personalize future interactions; it will not store personal data like names or email addresses. When off, the assistant will not retain information between conversations.
The new AI Memory setting is located in Site settings > Site configuration > AI Settings.
This release finds the following enhancements to live courses:
-
Maximum Capacity: You can now leave the Maximum Capacity field blank when creating or editing a class. If you do not enter a value, the class is treated as unlimited capacity across the class details, admin dashboard, course-specific class listings, and Manage Roster views. If you do enter a capacity, the existing display and behavior remain the same.
-
Schedule class recurrence: When you create a class that has multiple sessions, you no longer have to enter every session if the sessions occur at a regular frequency. You can use the option to Add recurrence.
When you add a custom course or file, such as a document, presentation, or PDF, that has a translation equivalency to your dynamic content, learners can now choose to complete the item in one of the available languages. This change helps keep the experience consistent between custom courses and Skillsoft courses that have translation equivalencies set.
You do not need to change how you manage translation equivalencies; this update ensures the relationship is carried through in dynamic content rendering, including landing pages and content cards.
To help you review and track XP earned by your users, the new XP Detailed Report is now available under Analytics > Activity.
This reports shows a row for each event when a user earned XP. It captures who earned the XP, what it was earned for, the point value earned, and the date. As with all reports, you can sort, filter, group, download a CSV, schedule, and share. The report is available to all site admins, and can be added to any role with reporting access through role customization.
You can now configure assignments, custom objectives, roles, custom channels, and custom journeys once on a parent site and push them down to selected child sites. The platform maintains any changes from the parent with a connection that syncs hourly with the child sites. This helps you manage your multi-site environment more consistently and efficiently.
The domain admin is the only role who can push or share to a child site. Child sites cannot push changes back to the parent or to other child sites. Site admins on the child site cannot edit items that have been pushed from a parent.
A few more details on inheriting:
- Assignments: When you create or edit an assignment, you now have an option in the first step to make the assignment available on a child site. You select which child sites should have the assignment. By default, all assignments are only active on the site where you are creating them. When sharing an assignment, ensure the content in the assignment has also been allocated to the child site first, otherwise learners won’t be able to see it. Currently, you cannot push an assignment that uses a custom objective, but it is coming soon.
- Custom business objectives: You use custom business objectives for assignments and learning programs. If you want to sync assignments to child sites that use custom business objectives, you must first sync the objectives from the Custom business objective page. Currently, you cannot sync assignments that have custom business objectives, but it is coming soon.
- Roles: If you want to ensure your Percipio user roles function the same way across your sites, you can sync your standard roles from the parent site. You sync roles from the Role customization page.
- Custom channels and journeys: If you create custom channels or journeys on the parent site you can share them to child sites. For each custom channel or journey you want to share, you select Manage sharing from the Action menu, then pick the child sites and audiences who can access it when you share it. When you retire a channel or journey, it also gets retired from the child sites.
The three Assignment reports, Assignment Summary, Assignment Summary by User, and Assignment Detail by User. now give you clearer visibility across multi-site assignments.
When you open any of these reports as a domain admin, they show parent site data by default. You can rerun the report and change the filter to include both parent and child site data, limit the report to child sites only, or filter to one specific child site. A new Site name column shows to indicate which site had the activity. For corporate assignments created on the parent site and copied to child sites, the reports aggregate the data across sites so you see consolidated progress.
Additional enhancements for those with the full platform
The items in this section pertain to the fully licensed version of the Skillsoft Percipio Platform which includes LX Design Studio, AI Coach, and Page Builder. Customers with this level of access get these features and enhancements in addition to the ones above.
AI model updates
To keep your LX Design Studio experience current with the latest AI advancements, we are planning to update the AI conversation models that power LX Design Studio and all its apps (including Course Designer, CAISY for Conversations, CAISY for Presentations, and Assessments). This update is targeted for October 2, 2026.
Learners are not likely to notice any changes in how these features behave, but you benefit from the latest updates in AI across your learning ecosystem. Skillsoft is committed to staying current with the latest advancements in AI technology, ensuring that we continue to provide you with the best possible security and user experience. If you need additional information about this planned update, please contact your Skillsoft account team.
We are targeting to update our AI model for LX Design Studio's image generation feature by October 2, 2026 when the current model gets retired. Authors are not likely to notice any changes when interacting with this feature.
This update is part of our commitment to staying current with the latest advancements in AI technology, ensuring that we continue to provide you with the best possible security and user experience. If you require additional information, please reach out to your Skillsoft account team.
General platform features
With this release, you now have access to an admin switch that allows you to enable AI-assisted journey creation. Customers who have been beta testing the feature see the setting on by default.
AI assisted journey creation uses generative AI GPT models to help you build custom learning journeys. Instead of manually selecting and sequencing content, you provide answers to a set of prompts that guide you through the journey description, learner goals, target roles, milestones, preferred formats, duration, etc. At the end, the AI generates a tailored journey outline and recommends both Skillsoft and custom content. You review and approve the journey before publishing it to your production environment.
With AI-assisted journeys, you can reduce journey creation time by ~80%, lower admin costs by ~50%, and improve learner engagement by ~25% compared to manually curated journeys.
LX Design Studio
You can now centralize and govern your organization’s terminology with a new glossary in LX Design Studio that helps keep audio, captions, and displayed text consistent across all content that you generate in LX Design Studio.
Admin can define glossary terms, its pronunciation and translation rules. Users can view glossary terms and its details. The platform automatically applies glossary terms to content generation, prevents duplicate or conflicting entries, and keeps a full audit trail of glossary changes so you can maintain consistent language and improve content quality.
For learner-facing content, the platform uses the approved glossary terms to support a more consistent experience across generated outputs.
For more information, see Glossary.
Course Designer
After you create a course using Course Designer, you can export supported content such as topics, scripts, questions, and knowledge checks into a Microsoft PowerPoint facilitator guide. Before you can download the facilitator guide, you must complete all steps of the course creation process through the Content details step. The export separates learner-facing slide content from facilitator-only notes so you can prepare more efficiently for an associated instructor-led training session.
CAISY for Conversations
Now when you create or edit a CAISY for Conversation, you have the option to add content recommendations that you define to make the experience more personalized. You can add general recommendations or add recommendations based on a score range, not just on the topic being covered.
For learners, this means the platform can present different follow-up content after a scenario based on how they performed, so lower scores can receive remediation content and higher scores can receive more advanced recommendations.
AI Coach
AI Coach now supports all the languages available across the rest of Skillsoft Percipio Platform. When a learner launches AI Coach, it opens in the language set for them in Skillsoft Percipio. Learners can change their language using the globe icon in the top navigation.
Support for right to left languages is coming later this year.
For a list of supported languages, see the Percipio languages.
Skillsoft Coaching
For customers of Skillsoft Coaching, this section reports on changes made to Skillsoft Coaching and the platform to support the interaction.
For details on these enhancements, please see the Coaching Knowledge Base.
The User Details section of the Enterprise Dashboard now provides more visibility into coaching program engagement and focus. The two new sections are:
-
Learner Reflection Questions: This section shows how many learners responded to the reflection question provided at the end of each of their sessions and the average ratings for the reflection question. Use it to understand learner sentiment and engagement through the coaching process. You can export the data to CSV for custom reporting.
-
Session Topics: This section shows the top session topics in a bubble chart format. Each bubble represents a topic that a coach selected at the end of their session. The bubbles are grouped by color to represent topic themes for easier analysis. The size of the bubble reflects how many sessions used that topic. The report updates based on your selected date range and audience filters. You can also export all topics to CSV for deeper analysis.
Coming Soon reminders, in case you missed it
The items in this section highlight changes to AI elements in the platform so you can stay in compliance with your internal processes and guidelines.
Coming soon, you will see three new content reports that make it easier to review and manage content across your site:
- All Content Library Export: This report will replace the All Content Listing report. In addition to the existing functionality, it will allow you to view videos and modules. This is only available for export because of the potential size of the report.
- All Content Listing by Title: This report contains a full list of all content on your site by title. For each content item you have more flexibility on filtering and can see more content metadata such as retirement information, first/last published dates, and last modified dates.
- All Content Listing by Container: The report will replace the Content Status report and improve how you identify the containers where content that is scheduled for retirement exists.
The existing Retired Content report will be updated with all content that has been retired. It will no longer just include accessed content from your site that has been retired.
As part of this enhancements, both the All Content Listing and Content Status report will be retired. Your existing schedules for these reports will continue to run even after retirement.
You will soon be able to use the AI Assistant to run, download, and schedule analytics reports using natural language. The AI Assistant may help identify the appropriate report, apply supported filters, and return results without requiring manual report configuration.
With this enhancement to the AI Assistant, you can:
- Run analytics reports using natural language prompts.
- Download report results as CSV files.
- Schedule report delivery by email on a one-time, daily, weekly, or monthly basis.
Natural language filtering currently supports date ranges, audiences, users, and content titles. Report scheduling is available for Standard Reports and Skillsoft Template Reports; custom templates are not currently supported. AI Assistant does not currently return dashboards.
So we can continually improve, please submit feedback using the thumbs up/down icon in the response.
We are planning to introduce an updated Library experience with the goal of making it easier for learners to find relevant content, navigate more intuitively, and focus on the skills most relevant to them.
Before we reintroduce the new experience, we will provide:
- Preview materials and documentation
- Guidance for communicating changes to learners
When we introduce the new design in the platform, it will become the standard experience. Our goal is to ensure your team has the advance notice, guidance, and support needed to prepare and adopt it successfully. More details to come.
When learners upload certification files AI will automatically capture certification details and confirm that the uploaded file represents a professional certification, avoiding reliance on manual entry and improving accuracy and consistency at the point of submission.
Learners can review and adjust the extracted information before submitting. This enhancement gives managers and HR greater confidence in the validity of uploaded certifications while ensuring more complete and representative certification reporting.
