New Features and Enhancements as of June 20, 2023
Engaging your learners to build a learning culture
The items in this section provide ways to engage your users so they want to learn and make learning a habit.

Leaderboards show learners how they rank among their peers and colleagues within your company. Every time a learner earns a badge or completes a learning item, they get a new ranking. Their rank is based on the number of badges earned or items completed compared to the number earned by others within the group and time frame selected.
Leaderboards are on by default for all learners who achieved at least one completion. Learners will be able to choose to display anonymously by adjusting their settings in My Profile. You can setup leaderboards for different teams like those from the same department, location, or new hire group for a targeted challenge. You can do this by user attribute or audience. However, audience views that you configure won't be available to learners yet. Learners will only see the all users audience and any user attribute groups you configure for now. We are working on the audience display to learners which should be coming later this year.
To see more information about how leaderboards display to learners, see Leaderboards.
For more information on how to configure different leaderboard views, see Leaderboard configuration.

This release contains the following updates for the mobile app:
- If admins enabled localized closed captions, learners now see the list of supported languages under the Captions option in the Course player when playing a course in English. Select
More actions then Captions to select a language for your closed captions.
- Learners can now use the mobile app to enter the amount of time spent learning in a custom content item when they mark it complete if the admin selected the Learning time entry setting when creating the item. Learning time entered counts in Activity and toward learning goals.
- Flashcards now display on the home page of the mobile app for easy access.

To help expand learning options available to learners who are not native English speakers, and who have set their Percipio language to something other than English, learners now see the following:
- When browsing the Library or performing a search for content, they see a message in their local language letting them know that if they switch their interface to English, they can play English courses with translated closed captions.
- When searching, there is now a filter called Subtitles/CC that allows them to filter results for Skillsoft courses that have subtitles or closed captions. This is also important for users who are searching English courses and are looking for courses with subtitles that are translated into other languages.

If you selected a job role in Percipio, you now see a recommended Learning of the Week when you open the Role tab in the My Learning section. The content item chosen for the Learning of the Week changes weekly and aligns with the skills associated with your chosen role.

When browsing Skill Benchmarks from the Showcase section of the library, learners now see the option to refine the list based on Skill Area, Certifications, or Aspire Journeys.
When a learner selects a tab, the list changes to show just the associated areas. For each area, learners see the total count of Skill Benchmarks and the count of new benchmarks published within the last 60 days. If the learner expands the area, they see the skill benchmarks by subject.

If you published custom courses, learners now have the option to restart the course for an updated completion certificate or when the business requires them to restart it.
Learners can find the option to restart the course from the More actions menu when viewing the content card from Search results or from within channels and journeys while browsing the library.

In the Recommendations for you strip, the Popular channels tab now promotes entitled channels based on aggregated Percipio activity. Previously, channels were a random selection.
Manage, promote, and measure learning
The items in this section provide the tools you need to manage users and content, promote learning, and measure learning effectiveness on your bottom line.

You now see the following enhancements with regards to reporting in Percipio:
- All Skillsoft template reports*, are now generally available and the Analytics drop down menu has been updated with links to the new reports. Thanks to all who provided feedback on the beta versions!
- The Learner activity beta report is now called Detail Activity report and contains three new global filters: Collections (shows active license pools), Content grouping (hierarchy of the library structure for the item including area/subject/channel), and Content title.
- The User Summary and User Listing template reports are now the ones to access. Please transition from using the original User Summary and User Listing reports to the new ones for the best user experience.
- A new Leaderboard report is now available to show how learners rank for badges and completions.
- The View All Reports page now contains a column, Data Refreshed, to let the admins know when the data in the report was last updated.
*Skillsoft template reports include: Detailed Activity, User Summary, User Listing, and the Bootcamp and Leadercamp reports.

Admins now see an improved workflow when creating and editing assignments that aligns with the stepped flow for creating and editing journeys. The new work flow is broken down into steps so if you need to save and finish later, you do not lose changes.
With the new workflow, you can now add the name of another user or department as the assigner. This shows to learners when they get the initial notification and see the assignment in their Assignment tab.
If available to you, you can also configure assignment reminders during the creation process so you don't have to send reminders separately. Speak with your Skillsoft account team if you are interested in this feature.
For more information about the new stepped work flow, see Create assignment.

To help your organization democratize learning, your learning admins now have the ability create child audiences when you enable the Manage child audiences as an administrator permission. With this permission turned on, you can then assign your learning admins as audience administrators when you create an audience.
When learning admins become audience administrators, they can create and manage child audiences, which are audiences that are a subset of the audience they administer. You can have up to three levels of child audiences. You cannot assign audience administrators to audiences created by team automation.
For more information about the new audience hierarchy, see Audience Management.

Site admins can turn on permissions so that learning admins can bulk import users into Percipio. Learning admins can add any user to any audience, but can still only see and manage users in audiences that they own. Learning admins can only edit users within audiences they own using bulk import.

You can now configure leaderboards for different teams that share the same audience. Audiences won't be available to learners until later this summer, but you can configure them now so you are ready.
You can find the leaderboard display options available for configuration from Settings -> Engagement and Notifications -> Leaderboards.
For more information about options, see Leaderboards.

For site admins and learning admins, the Explore menu now contains a link to the Learning Edge, Skillsoft's online user group community site.
For more information configuring the options that display on this menu, see Explore.

If you are a Career Journey customer, you currently choose which regions you want learners to be able to see when viewing GK course schedules. With this release, you choose the country and not the region. This gives the learner more insight into what language the instructor uses to teach the course.
For more information, see Career Journey Live Course schedule visibility
Compliance, Ecosystems, and Integrations
The items in this section help you to integrate Percipio across your learning ecosystem and promote how Skillsoft works with its partners.

If you are a Skillsoft Compliance customer, you can contact your Skillsoft account team to learn more about migrating your compliance content to a Percipio experience. You will no longer have to use a separate Compliance interface to manage your compliance program. When you migrate all your compliance content into Percipio, you see the following benefits:
- For administrators:
- Assign compliance content from the Learn -> Assignment menu.
- Require learners to retake a course.
- Add compliance content to channels and journeys along with non-compliance courses.
- Grant waivers and completions for compliance content.
- Run Percipio reports that include data on compliance completions, including multiple completions, and assignments.
- Configure compliance courses with text, videos, and policy documents.
- For learners:
- Search and browse for compliance courses as they would any other content item.
- Launch compliance courses from within the Percipio interface and continue to use the Compliance player to enforce compliance content behaviors such as required time in the course.
- See and launch compliance assignments from the Assignment tab of My Learning without switching to a compliance interface.
- View your compliance activity on your Activity page, including compliance courses you have taken multiple times by restarting them.
Usability Enhancements
The items in this section show where we are making improvements to the interface for a better experience.

With this release, Percipio now supports hosted custom content in Chinese (Traditional) and Chinese (Cantonese). When you add custom content in these languages, users see the option to view the Percipio user interface in that language.
For more information, see Setting your Language.
